Steerpike 04-06-2008 12:28 AM

Just got back from the Voltaire show. Great concert.

There were two opening acts, Patricia Wake and Bonfire Night. Of the two, I preferred Bonfire Night. Greg and I have a couple pictures of us with the singer and bassist, and we also got a picture with Voltaire himself who has a very deranged sense of humor.

The weather here is decent, maybe I should take a walk?

the2stranger 04-06-2008 06:13 AM

You should.
Nothing like taking nice walk (in the woods).

repcak 04-06-2008 06:15 AM

yesterday i took a book and went to the city-park. :)

the2stranger 04-06-2008 06:22 AM

Nice, which book?

RetiredAt21 04-06-2008 06:29 AM

Chilled with my girl last night and smoked some blunts. I'm trying to go to a kegger or something tonight but I dunno if she'll be down. She better be.

repcak 04-06-2008 06:30 AM

i read several books.
yesterday i finished "What is Enlightment" (in the 18th century) with articles by Kant, Schiller, Lessing, etc.
right now i read Niccolo Machiavelli - Il Principe
and normal literature: Salman Rushdie "The Moor's Last Sigh"

:)

Nice books.
I was at a bookstore somedays ago, I almost bought the complete works of Poe, but at 65 euros, a bit too expensive. :p

repcak 04-06-2008 06:36 AM

65euros? holy ****.

last summer i bought all his short novels (3 books) for 10 euros via amazon.
nevertheless, poe rules :)

btw. i think i will start with "Clash of Civilization" by Samual P. Huntington tonight ^^

Tyr 04-06-2008 06:58 AM

The Moor's Last Sigh is a very good book.

And I went for a walk, but it's not much of a forest, since there's a surrounding field.

repcak 04-06-2008 07:27 AM

i just finished Il Principe :) nice book!

The Moor's Last Sigh is indeed great. did you read "Shalimar the Clown" as well? two great books. i really started to like Salman Rushdies books.

Tyr 04-06-2008 07:35 AM

Nah, that's the only Salman Rushdie book I've read. I haven't had any time to read any more of his books.

repcak 04-06-2008 07:36 AM

you should :)

Txus 04-06-2008 07:37 AM

I'm starting to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being, pretty ****ing awesome so far.

Tyr 04-06-2008 07:42 AM
you should :)
Maybe when I'm 70 I will have enough time.
I'm starting to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being, pretty ****ing awesome so far.
It's one of my favourite books.

Txus 04-06-2008 07:43 AM

I bought it thanks to you :p

Tyr 04-06-2008 07:44 AM

I know. You can send me a slight donation later.

Txus 04-06-2008 07:49 AM

Nude pix, mos def.

Tyr 04-06-2008 07:50 AM

Of course. That's what I'm expecting.

Txus 04-06-2008 07:53 AM

Neat.

Seriously, the book is like...magnificent. I love every detail of prague and of the characters itself in the book, it's outstanding. One of the best book recommendations someone has ever given me.

Tyr 04-06-2008 07:57 AM

Glad that you like it.

Congrats on 20k, BTW.
