Oh yeah I think I remember you, theres a few names i've seen I remember. Also I was wondering what the kind of 'etiquette' is on posting reviews? I dont really want to post a second review of an album if it is going to either, 1) Not get read or 2) Just get deleted for re-reviewing a record.
Some people might flame you for posting reviews of albums that have already been reviewed. I usually flame those people in turn. Review what you want to. Obviously, it's best for the site to have its database expanded and/or get new perspective on already reviewed albums, but if you want to write a review just do it.

RedMorningLight 03-19-2007 12:40 PM

Thanks for the advice guys. I've gone and posted a MSTRKRFT review as a first attempt if you wanna have a look and it was previously unreviewed so I might be keeping everyone happy :]

Sepstrup 03-19-2007 12:42 PM
Yes please flame those people in retaliation, I have nothing better to do than clean it up.
I got back from classes last night and was all like, "Ok, it's 7 O'clock, if I take a nap now, I can wake up maybe in like three hours and start to write my essay and study for my next midterm" and then I woke up 12 hours later.

Neoteric 03-20-2007 12:57 PM

and you felt awake and refreshed when you woke up?

Robert Crumb 03-20-2007 01:01 PM

For a second. And then I remembered I had to write and essay an study for a midterm.

perriwinkle 03-20-2007 01:18 PM

i just took my world regions midterm. rocked it. now whenever my roommate leaves my friend will come over and we will smoke weed and listen to something. what should we listen to i was thinking Unwound Leaves Turn Inside You because i only got like 5 or 6 tracks through that but i am open to suggestion

The Great Decay 03-20-2007 03:17 PM

Sublime.

biografiend 03-20-2007 09:26 PM

Seconded.

I already feel that 2007 is the year for good albums. So far.

pixiesfanyo 03-20-2007 11:23 PM

I've only really enjoyed the Battles and Do Make Say Think records so far.

perriwinkle 03-20-2007 11:56 PM
I already feel that 2007 is the year for good albums. So far.
Yeah, there have already been some great ones. My favorites are Busdriver, Of Montreal, Deerhoof, Eluvium, and Dälek. I'm sort of disappointed with the Andrew Bird record, but I'll get over it. The ones I'm anticipating most are, of course, Björk and Radiohead.

I just started listening to the new Low album. I bet it's going to be good.

Sepstrup 03-21-2007 08:32 AM
Kweli tries to mix the ideals of the rap world and the hip-hop world as he balances between the two. None the less, solid album.
Wtf. How are they different?

Man I need to listen to Busdriver.

superpeer 03-21-2007 10:00 AM
Wtf. How are they different?
That's what I was thinking.

Glitterati 03-21-2007 12:29 PM

I'm always up for Deerhoof.

I was walking around the kitchen in my pajamas making breakfast when Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on my door. They gave me a pamphlet inviting me to remember the anniversary of Jesus's death on April 2.

It all happened so fast I couldn't even think of something clever to say.
Hip hop is music you can admit to liking, and rap is what black people listen to.
I thought hip hop was a cultural thing, and rap was the form of music, or something.

Eliminator 03-21-2007 03:52 PM

2007 rules

Boilermaker 03-21-2007 03:53 PM

They're the same thing. It doesn't matter.

Glitterati 03-21-2007 04:06 PM

Rap is like jello pudding.

Eliminator 03-21-2007 04:06 PM
Man I need to listen to Busdriver.
Yeah you do, get on RoadKillOvercoat already.

So I got hired at Peets, got the second highest grade on a test that I didn't study for, tricked people into thinking I'm smart, and pool party tomorrow. What a great day.

lol@ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFORqPAaowE

Robert Crumb 03-22-2007 01:27 AM

Rap is like a long, hard, cool lemonade.

br3ad_man 03-22-2007 01:59 AM

I am yet to hear a good album from 2007 but I haven't really heard enough, is anyone else really impressed with the newest deftones, Saturday Night Wrist?

pixiesfanyo 03-22-2007 10:47 AM

I liked it.

It wasn't as good as White Pony, but it'd be stupid to expect that.

<3<3<3 03-22-2007 11:48 AM

I'm reallly excited for the new Efterklang album coming out in April of this year.

RedMorningLight 03-22-2007 01:00 PM

Jacaranda 03-23-2007 06:51 AM

so yo, i spent all of yesterdays 7th period reading old articles and reviews of Steve Albini in the school paper. he trashed Boston when they came to town and got beat up a bunch for it and got a lot of frightning letters to the editor/him. he's a pretty funny guy and was writing about stuff like abortion and how much AC/DC suck. imma try to get ahold of him and see if he will do an interview for the paper.

Kyle 03-23-2007 06:59 AM

Awesome :)

I'm gonna be going for music editor for out student magazine this year, that would be so sweet. I'm already TV editor for the paper, but I don't even own a TV and I hate all the programs.

JonM 03-23-2007 08:21 AM

Spring break wooooooooooooooooooooo

ATM 03-23-2007 08:37 AM

Lucky bastard. I already had mine.

Glitterati 03-23-2007 10:29 AM

I'm just finishing up my spring break.

I had this dream last night where I was on a boat with Zooey Deschanel, and we were being attacked by pirates. And I said "If we're going to be killed by pirates, I must tell you my true feelings for you" then I woke up.

Needless to say it was pretty awesome.

ATM 03-23-2007 10:30 AM

Sweet.

Battles tonight wooohooo
