ouch, who was it that did that?
|
My drummer jumps off his drum riser after we've finnished our gigs.
But in a really dramatic style, looks so silly, he better watch out he could really do himself an injury by the sound of it :p |
yeh lol. what songs do you do at your gigs?
|
Josh is a twat!!!
he says he's not going to leeds to see maiden... or download to see sabbath!! Boo!!! hiss!!! |
alright Gur!
what did you play?
all our own songs, i'm afraid, so the titles would be somewhat meaningless. this gig we're playing tuesday week MAY be recorded, so if yes you can expect live mp3's up next week. Anyway: I just realised that the tape from the Ruskin Arms is the only thing I haven't watched yet on Early Days. 12 Wasted Years > Early Days, in terms of Documentary vs. Documentary. The bit with Derek Riggs on Early Days is from 12 Wasted Years, except only about half the length - if that. |
ouch, who was it that did that?
Dave. |
I f maiden are at leeds as seems likely... I'm just getting a day ticket on the day maiden are playing so I don't hear the rest of the **** - going all weekend to download though , who else?
|
i might be able to afford leeds, ollie, but i cant stretch to £135 for download, plus travel and food (and of course alcohol)
by the way, theres buses from newcastle so you can get there easy, check on the download website to see where buses go from to the festival. and i will also get a leeds day ticket for maiden... |
I'll be getting a day ticket too, that's if I can find someone to go with...
|
maiden is cool.
|
hello maiden fans
i always thought iron maiden was alright but then i felt like buying the greatest hits. i was quite impressed, i don't know much about iron maiden but i think bruce dickinson is the best singer of them all. they have great musicians. i want some people here to suggest me 1) best iron maiden songs that are not on the edward the great album 2) fairly easy iron maiden song to play on guitar, (not that any iron maiden is easy but the ones that are the least hard to play) thanks in advance :thumb: |
/bump
*getting sleepy* |

i have really been digging
phantom of the opera |
Iron Maiden rules :thumb:
I havn't been into them but long, but I have downloaded part of Powerslave, all of The number of the beast, edward the great, and 7th son of a 7th son. My favorite songs by them are Hallowed be thy name Run to the hills Number of the beast Fear of the dark Aces high Powerslave The Trooper etc... |
In the wicker man The verse is kinda easy and so it the pre chorus and chorus. Though like all maiden solo's they'll take you some time.
|
The Wicker Man solo isn't too hard. The only two I can play all the way through (including solos) are Run To The Hills (not at full speed though) and Blood Brothers.
|
The trooper solo has me stuck **** you Murray!
|
download will be cool and then leeds...
will be maiden!!!! hahaha |
are iron maiden playing at download
|
no, probably at leeds though.
|
god **** i love the open riff to phantom of the opera so much

Songs that are easy to play:
Flight Of The Icarus, The Trooper (^I know that both these are on the greatest hits^) Hallowed Be Thy Name, Running Free, Ghengis Kahn, Where Eagles Dare. I'll think of some more later when I'm not as busy as I am now, I hope these help you though, up the irons! |

All of them? Including solos? **** you must really kick *** as guitar! |
Ghost Of The Navigator is amazingly hard, I tried once, and then subsequently failed, and never tried again
|
On guitar? All of them? Including solos?
**** you must really kick *** as guitar!
i don't think he ment that he can play them on the guitar  |
What do you guys think are Maiden's toughest solos to play? I've never attempted any other than the Trooper (fairly easy, but a good solo nonetheless). Aces High strikes me as a challenge.
|
Songs I can play on Guitar all the way through:
Hallowed be thy name The Wickerman The Trooper Number of the Beast Journeyman (acoustic) Phantom of the Opera Burning Ambition Losfer words (Big 'Orra) No More lies Songs I can kinda play all the way through: Holy Smoke (bloody solos) Blood Brothers Lord of the Flies Sign of the Cross (I need to play this song with a Bass and 2nd Guitarist) Paschendale (Those crazy rhythms, I can't get my head around it) Judgement day Wasting Love Afraid to shoot Strangers From here to eternity Translyvania Killers Twiliight zone (I can't figure out the solo) Revelations Caught somewhere in time Rainmaker Brave new world (Daves solo is the spawn of satan, but it sounds so sweet) Songs I've tried to play all the way through and failed miserably: Infinite dreams (Curse that intro) Sevength son (I can only do up to the interlude) Judas be my guide Aces High Songs I can play on Bass: Trooper Hallowed Be thy Name Phantom of ther opera (except the triplets, I can't get it to sound right) Blood Brothers The Wickerman Journeyman I think that's it, not bad for only 3 years playing is it? |

I've never tried to play the aces high solo, but one of the hardest I've tried was the Brave new world solo, Dave has some weird fingers. His smile gives him extraordinary powers... |
I can play most of Maiden's hits,
so I can play it and people go " Flight Of The Icarus " |
I can play most of Maiden's hits,

I don't mind Wasted Years, somewhere in time is a great album. |
Yeah it is, it's my second favourite album after SSOASS...
|
The intro of Wasted Years > the song Wasted Years
Somewhere in Time is probably my third favorite of Maidens, after SSOASS and NOTB. |
I don't really like Somewhere in Time that much to be honest. It's probably my least listened to Maiden album that i own.

My least listened to would have to be Powerslave. I love the album, but I just don't listen to it. No idea why. |
