I give up on cinema. They are making a sequel to Hostel. The original was, in my opinion, one of the worst movies ever made. Period. It does not need a sequel.
Never saw it, never will. Heard its just boobs and the illusion of gore.

PaulSimonon 10-28-2006 10:55 PM

Umm, I have a 1979 Peavey T-40, a 1996 MIM Fender P, the Cort, an Ibanez GSR 200, the Taylor, and a Fender acoustic.

I play out of a Trace Elliot GP11 rig with a ported 15" driver.

I have a Small Clone, an older model Dunlop Bass Wah that's not currently on the market, an E-H Bassballs, and a ****ty flanger.

I thought it was pretty cool, considering that the story line was kind of weak.

That is exactly it. The movie is like an hour and a half. The first hour is softcore porn. The last half hour is a few disgusting scenes.
I am not even kidding when I say it didn't have a plot. At all. Or character development. Or any other redeeming quality.

You go into horror movies with the wrong mindset.

The way I see it, sequels are usually better than the originals. Why you may ask? Because they're usually ****tier... Which means more good laughs.

Is it wrong to want, like suspense? It's a horror movie, shouldn't it be scary? Hostel is not scary.

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 10:58 PM

Nothing like cheesy horror flicks to giggle at.

Have you ever been scared by a horror movie? I haven't. It's always so totally unrealistic that it becomes comical.

Az_Holl 10-28-2006 11:00 PM

Its not really a horror. Its like Saw, not really scary, just creeps you out a bit.

I didnt really expect Hostel to be good, i had heard it was really crap, but it kept me amused

I actually screamed in the Ring :upset: Screamed like a little girl, first time it ever happened.

Like... sometimes something will happen and youll jump, but oh no, i had to scream.

That was a bad night.

Oof...

Hey, I like romantic movies... Consider yourself lucky.

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 11:04 PM

If one of my friends screamed like a little girl I'd probably never let it down.

But I can slightly be a prick.

I'd do the same thing man.

The Brad 10-28-2006 11:07 PM

lawl, I am such a poser.

Az_Holl 10-28-2006 11:07 PM

If they did keep riding me about it they'd cop a left hook to the jaw.

Which probably wouldnt hurt that much considering i screamed liek a little girl :(

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 11:07 PM

For sure, I'd use it against him too.

If he was in my band, every gig I'd somehow work it into the show.

Mainly by telling the audience of how much of a pussy he is

That's just not cool.
Bust his balls all you want, but not on stage.

Jody LeCompte 10-28-2006 11:09 PM

Work sucked tonight.

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 11:09 PM

I do what I want <--- imitation of Cartman.

It gets the crowd into the band; crowd involvement is crucial in a good show.

You can get the crowd into the band without dissing a bandmate.

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 11:14 PM

When you're good buddies what goes around comes around.

In both my bands i'm good friends with all the members.

I think it's pretty hard to be in a band with someone you aren't a good friend with. I know in my first band the four of us were basically brothers.

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 11:18 PM

My first band was a failure.

I was a friend with one of the members.

4 guitarists and me.

The best guitarist was the best drummer as well, so he took that role.

We got absolutely nothing done.

My first band was pretty awesome. We could have practiced more if we didn't just hang out so much, but it was just about fun. We actually sounded pretty good for our ages and experience levels, and the summer we were most serious was the best time of my whole life.

Jody LeCompte 10-28-2006 11:24 PM

I've never been in a good band, Ive never written a good song...

I don't really know why I even play music...

Eh, I don't see a problem with it. I've been dissed and praised on stage before, doesn't matter to me really.

Because you personally enjoy it? I know that's why I play.

Anyways, I'm out. See you guys later.

Jody LeCompte 10-28-2006 11:26 PM

On stage a few weeks ago when they introduced me they said "This man can conduct thunder with his thumb"

I was happy ^_^
