Nope, I never saw it. My friend told me it was about a 2 hour drive though. I am a huge queers fan, and I emailed joe asking about that song. He said he no longer has any beef with rancid, but rancid's fans used to p[I]i[/I]ss him off. I'm just curious, why is it so trendy to hate rancid all of the sudden. I think that most people who say they hate them are people who just got into punk and are to "hardcore" for them. They were the band that got me into punk about 5 years ago and are still my favorite band. People at this forum are really g[I]a[/I]y.

It's more like a 4 hour drive.

And for as long as I've been "in the scene", it's been pretty cool to hate Rancid. They're my favorite band, but I don't let it bother me a bit.

And yeah, the Queers and Rancid toured together and stuff. I never thought of that song as a Rancid dis anyway, I just figured it was either tongue-in-cheek or just mocking Rancid fans, most of whom are idiots.

never a truer word was said...when i first came here there was that "what got you into punk" thread, and i said "brad Logan" on the chef-aid cd got me into rancid and it went from there...i got completely flamed for that, that wasnt fun, people think that if i like rancid, i like bands i dont like like nofx and pennywise etc.

Its funny, some kid came up to me in one of my classes today and was like:

Me: "No." *walks away* (I kindof hate the kid, he's really annoying and like 14 and always tries to bum cigarettes off me, I tell him to wait a couple years or it'll stunt his growth even more)

Hell yeah, I am. I go to just about every good show that comes. I'm going to the River City Rebels/Brain Dead/Street Dogs show and the Suicide Machines show.

River City Rebels is Nov. 10th, and the Suicide Machines show is Nov. 29th. I'm not going to Against me because I don't really like them. For some reason I find them really boring.
