Josiah 12-02-2006 05:35 PM

Bonham#1! 12-02-2006 06:15 PM

When it comes to torture devices, nothing beats the iron maiden.

A half pound is about $1200, at least what he gets. Its as potent as purple haze but its a different high...it's wierd...but it's good stuff

Weed is decriminalized in Canada...we're allowed to have up to an ounce on us without getting charged...but they take it away...nothing on the record.
They don't have the shock value.

Haircuts are overrated. Just like showers, brushing your teeth, and trimming your toenails.

EDIT: Janeway, is that you ion your avatar, I always wondered what you looked like.
Haircuts, yes, if you want to have long hair. However, the rest, definitely not. Showers are necessary for cleanliness, which IMO is uber important. Makes one feel better also. Brushing your teeth, also important, I'd prefer not to have my teeth turn black and fall out in my 40s-50s. Trimming the toenails...also important, if you don't trim them enough they'l become ingrown, which seriously sucks. :thumb:

We_Love_Lime 12-02-2006 07:31 PM

dude man.
I want some turntables.

You know, they're actually a pretty decent band. I've heard some of their back catalog, and they got some good tunes, aside from the obvious Inna-Godda-Da-Vida. Plus their bassist is really good.

Josiah 12-02-2006 07:49 PM

Wow I had this cyst/zit thing growin outta the back of one of my ear lobes. Was crazy huge, but in the back right.

So i was like **** it, pinched that mother good and wow. What a mess. I think like actual body stuff came out. Kinda disturbing really, was some thick greeny yellow stuff... hopefully that never comes back.
Musta been some crazy pressure in there to contain that much crap in such a small space.. just wow. I'm alil weireded out now.. thought I'd share.

We_Love_Lime 12-02-2006 07:52 PM

I always like popping **** on my body, like white heads, and watch them ejaculate all over the place.
It's like pulling weeds.
It makes you feel godlike.

I started listening to them like 2 weeks after they came to calgary. I was so pissed I didnt go.

SlincoJ 12-02-2006 08:06 PM

Opeth is most deffinately amazing.

Josiah 12-02-2006 08:09 PM

Wow that was bad. I'm still freaked out.

Glad I never became a doctor...

Futuro 12-02-2006 08:18 PM
I started listening to them like 2 weeks after they came to calgary. I was so pissed I didnt go.
Ah that sucks man. Great live show. The sound quality is just flat out amazing. I stayed for there whole set and didn't get a headache.

I find it funny that Opeth go on stage with a couple Half stacks for a medium size venue and sound great, but there is still a shitload of these local emo bands that feel it is necessary to play through a shitty sounding solidstate full stack at local bars.

edit: lol shit turns to poop :p

drummguy731 12-02-2006 08:18 PM

lol, that sounds painful jos

this.

_Wrathchild_ 12-02-2006 09:30 PM

Yep, I agree as well.

I saw them back in March in Winnipeg. They were amazing. I was sad that they didn't play Bleak though. Then a guy I know in Calgary saw them a couple days later and he said they played Bleak and I was jealous :upset:

Oh yeah and at the show I saw, there was a drum solo because it was axenrot's (sp?) birthday.

Maggot Dream 12-02-2006 09:40 PM

Bleak is a great song, probably my favorite Opeth song.

I listened to Opeth for a couple hours today at work, it made it much less depressing.

Futuro 12-02-2006 10:00 PM

who does the clean vocal part in bleak? some parts dont sound like mike at all

We_Love_Lime 12-02-2006 10:01 PM

what's this mean?

Futuro 12-02-2006 10:05 PM

It sounds like steven wilson to me, but im probably retarded.
who does the clean vocal part in bleak? some parts dont sound like mike at all
I know Steven Wilson produced and did some vocals on Blackwater Park, so it could be him. I don't know for sure though.

EDIT:

_Wrathchild_ 12-02-2006 10:08 PM

Yeah, I'm almost positive its Steven Wilson.

I love Steven Wilson. He's so sexy.
His harmonized vocals make me happy.

Hey Lime, the girlfriend let the cat out of the bag. She ordered me a breakbeat ride for Xmas.

Those look sexy.

But, my first reactions when you said 'the girlfriend let the cat out of the bag.'... :naughty:

FL3P 12-02-2006 10:12 PM

Haha, maybe she'll do that later.

Undisco Kidd 12-02-2006 10:14 PM
Haha, maybe she'll do that later.
You'll be to busy playing that breakbeat ride to have time for that stuff.

FL3P 12-02-2006 10:17 PM

Don't get that until Xmas but after that I might be a little busier.

Undisco Kidd 12-02-2006 10:20 PM

I was going to think about getting another ride.

Then my hihat stand died today.

No more 2nd ride for me.
