I was bummed when he was getting booed :(

Poor Bob.
Hmmm...it's done now, and it was very good, but they seemed to just ditch all the viewers and didn't even talk about the latter half of his career.
It was only based on '61-'66. I'd love to see a movie on the making of Blood On The Tracks, that would awesome. But it's probably too personal to make a movie out of. A documentry of his '75 tour would be cool too, they could make a movie out of that.

Krabsworth 09-27-2005 08:35 PM

He had a cool voice

PinkFreud 09-27-2005 08:35 PM

i missed it tonight. i'll have to catch it on sunday then.

downloaded the orbison. havent listened to it yet. honestly, i dislike his voice. which is odd because i love great singers, and hes one of the greatest. i just...dont mix well with it. i dont know.

Against Miik! 09-27-2005 08:39 PM

I flipped back and forth between the Bob Dylan thing and a baseball game. It was good, but I picked it up halfway through, so i'll wait until I can watch the whole thing.

Regardless, "Fishing Blues" by Taj Mahal is a great song.

PinkFreud 09-27-2005 08:56 PM

i hav 180 rep points. arent i special?

the answer is no.

I'm a fan. Whatever the next thing to revitalize music is, it won't sound like classic rock. Thats just how music sounded back then, and this is how music sounds now. Music will also have a unique sound in the future.
That should get them to appreciate him more. Anyone download Orbison's Greatest Hits?
Could you send me it yankee_jay420@yahoo.com that would be awesome.
i see vague resemblance to rush. but not a lot.
They're like Rush meets Simple Plan.

PinkFreud 09-27-2005 10:16 PM

ha. yeah. a bad combination. i have their new one though. its ok. not as poppy.

i got repped once by jom for helping in dboon's free music thread and the ysi thread here. and just this afternoon by spat out plath for being a good poster (and also upping the second disc of jeff buckley's grace deluxe edition).

That Dylan documentry was AWSOME. I'm glad I recorded it all. (:D) All that live footage was amazing more so the 1965 Folk fest than anything. That concert's legendary! Kinda sad though. Afterwards I went into my room and listined to the Live '66 bootleg concert that was on the show. I think I'm tarting to appreciate it more. Did anyone notice how I called the shot at the very end when the guy yelled out "JUDUS!"?

Even though I can rep I only can give out like 25 points. :-/

PinkFreud 09-27-2005 11:13 PM

how much rep do you need before you get stars?

I noticed the Judas

It was pretty sad too. I didn't liked how everyone was booing him. Also, that Folk Fest stuff is out on a dvd called "Festival". If you look it up on Amazon you'll see the one that has Dylan's name on the cover.

Not sure they say 1000 but I got them around 300 but it's because I was (along with Lunch) chosen to be one of the 10 appreciated members of R&M by Sonorken.

I just sent it. The link should still work, but if it doesn't I'll just upload it again.

I have 63 rep points
/loses :(

I felt really bad for Dylan at Newport. He seemed disappointed that Pete Seegar, one of his idols, tried to pull the plug on him.

Being sick sucks. I feel like my throats on fire.

/bump

Damn it, I forgot to rewind the tape I was using to tape the documentary!

Oh well, I'll just get the DVD. I'm really impressed by what I saw, though. Some of the footage was increadable.

Worth every penny. I was just thinking that if you were in the front row and got him to sign an album you could probably sell it on e-bay and get some fo your money back :p

The drummer was so awsome, he reminded me of an octopus

And the guitarists were a little bit emo looking (haha) But really spunky, they kept on jumping around and kicking as stuff, it was great. Amazing.
