I suggest listening to some Poison the Well.

That's what I've been doing, and I am now in a perfectly good mood. :p
Poison The Well and Big D And The Kids Table are the ultimate feel-good listenings.

B 10-03-2005 03:26 PM

I've been home 3 hours.

Quite literally, I suppose.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 03:31 PM

I have this stupid assignment in English I have to read a story and pursuade people to read the story and I have to do it by like an oral report or like making a website or like getting a collection of songs that represent the story I thought I could do that but all the stories are garbage I don't think I could connect any of them to music.

If you guys think you have heard crazy music before, think again. Check this out. Its the drummer from A7X singing and Synyster on guitar, with some other guys on drums and bass. Its crazy! I reccomend Pixel and Nasal.

Omgz, poison the well is like the only metalcore band that I enjoy.

Arucard 10-03-2005 04:17 PM

Well they aren't Metalcore, they are crazily experimental. Keyboard + Wierd vampire riffs = Pinkly Smooth.

superpeer 10-03-2005 04:19 PM

But I was talking about Poison the well. You and your crazy bands, Joe. I didn't even listen.

NP: Bad Religion - All there is

Also, I've figured out the evil scheme of A7X.

Arucard 10-03-2005 04:22 PM

To turn everyone into scene kids? Worked on me.

/Loves A7X.

superpeer 10-03-2005 04:27 PM

Nah, they joined a major label to get lots of bling bling, but warner bros doesn't like teh hevy, so they forced them to use only clean vocals. So they pretended that the singer broke his voice and can't scream anymore, so that they could make an album with only clean vocals and catchy songs, so that more soft kids and girls would like and the girls would dig their make up and gay clothes.

On top of that they could play their older material with clean vocals (as if none of the other members can fill in, live or even in the studio :\ ), so more people would come to their concerts and more girls would be like 'OMGZ SO HAAWT' and buy their merchandising. This leaves them very rich.

The End.

*may or may not be true

Excursions 10-03-2005 04:29 PM

OMGZ, Rock and Metalers.

Im not a fan of metalcore, I like Integrity if you consider them metalcore.

Holes in your theory :

Their new album is a less mainstream type of music, and is also a much harder and demanding listen than WTF, which really was a pure scene kid album (don't get me wrong, i love it), the only difference being between them and the rest of the bands similar to them is that they didn't jump on the band wagon, and that the music is actually good.

lol WTF

Don't tell me that Burn it down isn't pure pop and will get A LOT more people into them. And I never said that they were bad. They're pretty cool, for what they are. And I love burn it down. It's just a trap, a trap!

Arucard 10-03-2005 04:34 PM

Yes, because kids these days prefer cheesy riffing and lyrics over hardcore screaming and breakdowns....

Get in touch with the kids Jelle. Oh i forgot, you do touch that kid, oh wait. She's your girlfriend.

I disagree with this post, except for that part about liking WTF.

Their new album is more mainstream than WTF and especially BTST (or whatever it is). I cannot count the number of times I've heard their single's video while I was looking for wank material on myspace. Seriously, pseudo-goth chicks eat this stuff up. I only saw the video for Chaptor Four because I looked for it.

I really hate their new album :( His voice is so nasally and bad and the old breakdowns and gone.

(Summer's End hasn't pusied yet. Then again they are far more repetative and not as good as A7X. Circle Over Sidelights (A7x on heroine and steriods, methinks) only have like a seven song album, and no one has ever heard of them. The Showdown still rocks my balls off, although I've yet to hear new things by them). Who else sounds like them? Those three are all I could think of off the top of my head.

New A7X could be played on the radio. Old A7X could not.

New A7x will be played on MTV. Old A7X probably wouldn't have been recieved well.

We're talking mainstream. Noy "Popular amongst fake scene kids"

That might be really popular, but easy to consume pop will always be more popular.

Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking The Fallen are much better than City of Evil in my opinion. I just couldn't get into City of Evil. It's decent, but not nearly as good as the others.
