Get another program that lets you save as an MP3

Crap software.

Use something else.

Spaceman Spiff 12-19-2004 12:29 PM

can someone tell me what might have gone wrong that caused my new string to snap while tuning it?
i was tuning, and it broke before it made it to the G that it was supposed to be.

Foxfire 12-19-2004 12:30 PM

Were you using a tuner?

RJDBass 12-19-2004 12:31 PM

Explain yourself

RJDBass 12-19-2004 12:32 PM

I've used darn near every program avaiable on downloads.com

Does anyone know of a good converter

Foxfire 12-19-2004 12:33 PM

Wish I had a spare 880 USD lying around. This'd make a nice fretless.

Hmm... You were an octave too high, your tuner is screwy, the string was defective, someone hid razorblades in your bridge.

The string being defective is by far the most likely. :thumb:

Spaceman Spiff 12-19-2004 12:35 PM

yeah.
i haven't got a clue what happened.

Foxfire 12-19-2004 12:35 PM

And if I had 450~ pounds, I'm sure this'd make a nice fretless too.

Which tuner? Korg GA-30, perhaps?

Spaceman Spiff 12-19-2004 12:37 PM

razorblades seems to be most likely.

nah, i definately wasn't an octave too high, my tuner is fine.

maybe the string was defective, like you said. how often does this tend to happen?

Foxfire 12-19-2004 12:38 PM

What tuner??? :p

Spaceman Spiff 12-19-2004 12:38 PM
Which tuner? Korg GA-30, perhaps?
my tuner is a Yamaha YT-150.

Foxfire 12-19-2004 12:42 PM

Hm.

See, on my tuner, it doesn't work correctly sometimes. For example, I almost broke my low B (You know somethings wrong when I say this) because it would not register a low B on itself. Bleh.

Spaceman Spiff 12-19-2004 12:44 PM

well, when i go to get a replacement string, i'll just take the bass in and have the arseholes at the store restring it.
