Alcohol doesn't really have a taste though. Try it straight and you'll see that :)

Good deal.

Brandon: No, she lives in Colorado and goes to school in Chicago. It sucks but we really like each other so...
I don't like beer when my dad offers, wine is too bitter, and champagne (along with every other alcoholic beverage) burns when it goes down my chest.

Permanent Solution 12-06-2005 09:16 PM
I'm fine with someone having a glass of wine with dinner, or something like that, but in general I think drinking is lame.

 Especially underage drinking!
Eh, then what are you against then, just getting wasted? Hanging out with some friends and having some beers? There are many tiers of drinking heh.

Eh, the legal age here is ridiculous. There's a point where it's too young, but by the time you're 17/18 I don't see it as a big deal as long as it's responsible.

B 12-06-2005 09:17 PM
Gilmour Girls? I think my brother watches that.
I watch it. I love it. I'm a loser :upset:

Vince: That kind of sucks. It's great that it still works for you guys though.

Zack: I saw it, nice quoting. I'm too lazy to quote as you can see.

Justin: It's not on my Fox :(.

Uh oh. My replying is falling behind.

I agree, beer is gross. I even had German beer so I am not a beer fan.

Wine is great though, and not always bitter, there's a wide range of types so I'd say give it more of a chance, as I personally enjoy it a lot :)

If you don't like the burn you won't like many alcoholic drinks, but some are so smooth there's no burn.

Brandon: Yeah, considering all told about 4/5 of our relationship has been far away from each other it's amazing it's still going so well heh. But I'm glad it is. Though I wonder how it would be if we weren't far away.

B 12-06-2005 09:19 PM

I like rum. Rum is probably my favourite, whiskey being second. I hate beer. Some wine is really good.

I'm basically against drinking to get wasted. I mean, it doesn't really matter to me if people drink casually once in a while, but drinking to get drunk is retarded.

I actually agree that the drinking age should be lowered (back to) 18. I think it might actually be a positive measure to take.

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:19 PM

I don't like Corona beer. My da gave me one of those and it was pretty gross. I've also had Busch (stolen from Brandons garage) and it was better than the Corona, but still not thatgreat.

ZaaR 12-06-2005 09:20 PM

I like Eggnog though.

:)

The drinking age here is only 19. Everyone does it underage anyways.. I don't think hardcore drinking under age is good, but a bit is fine IMO.

Rum and Cokes are great. /Latino thing but eh

Whiskey isn't bad but a bit burny for me.

Brian: Ok well then we pretty much agree. I thought you were against all alcohol and I was like "ehhh, some is good" and you can't replace alcoholic drinks with non. It doesn't taste the same.

Yeah, I agree it should be lowered. I'm also for legalizing pot even though I don't do it and never plan to.

Matt: Corona is pretty different from most beers.

Zack: Yeah, that's good too. You'd probably like mixed drinks too, like Daiquiris, Pina Coladas, etc...

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:24 PM

Brandon we have had some fun times trying to be rebel drinkers:lol:. That one snow day where me, you and Alex had the rum and coke. Your sprite and whatever it was, was the best. Coconut rum and coke tastes like shit.

ZaaR 12-06-2005 09:24 PM

In Italy and alot of other European countries they have no drinking age. They think that if you grow up in an environment where drinking is normal, then you will drink responsibly. When I went to Italy I saw no kids who were out at night drinking, and trust me, EVERYONE goes out at night.

B 12-06-2005 09:24 PM

Mixed drinks are always better.

Matt: Coconut rum in general is gross as hell.

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:26 PM

I hate coconut anything. Coconut in chocolate I think is gross.

I didn't hate the taste I wouldn't mind it.

And Vince, I've tried white wines, red wines, dry wines, and even cranberry wines, and wines with crystalized plants growing in the bottle (I forget what it's called. I think it's a portugese thing).

It all tastes HORRIBLE. The alcoholic fruit smoothies I've had have been bareable, but still nasty.

Coconut-pineapple ice cream is THE ****.

Yeah, I'm okay with alcohol I guess, if it's used responsibly. I don't know that I'll drink, and I definitely don't plan on drinking before I'm 21, but I'm not completely against others using it.

I agree that pot should be legalized too. I would never use it, because it is gross as hell, but I don't think it should be illegal.

Coconut rum and Coke? Haha, silly kids.

Zack: Yeah, most of Europe is a lot more lax about it, and a lot more responsible too. Europe>America

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:30 PM

Never done pot:D. And now I don't think I want to do it, ever. I will eventually, but I want to see how long I can make it.

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:31 PM

There was no regular rum, so we thought, what the hell, there can't be much difference. We realized there was when we were pouring it down the drain.

ZaaR 12-06-2005 09:31 PM

Ah yeah, well as long as you've tried a lot and still don't like it then it's your opinion so eh. But no one should try one wine, or especially one alcoholic drink, and say it's all bad because they didn't like it. that's bad reasoning.

Brian: Go to Europe. If you don't drink there...there's something wrong with you in their eyes lol. But it all fits so well, it really is an essential part of a meal there, and fits in very well. Quite an experience.

Matt: Try your whole life! :)

Night Zack.

Why would you want to use it? It smells nasty, and really has no benefit to it.

Yea, well I don't think sitting around in a bush and smoking something out of a bottle is my thing anyways. Sitting in a bush and watching, well that's a different story.

Vince: I will try!

Truth. The first time you use it there is no effect. After that there is an (arguable) benefit.

Nah, awesome Europeans :p

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:37 PM

I heard the first time nothing really happens, but I've heard it does. People are proably just making things up. I guess I will never know.

New favourite band - Vendetta Red

Science says it will have no effect the first time usually. There are exceptions but it's based on body chemistry.

Mute Print 12-06-2005 09:38 PM

Vendetta Red is awesome.
Vendetta Red is awesome.
I have listened to their CD 4 times today, on their 5 listen now. I listened to it at school, on my walk to my orthodontist appointment, back from it. While doing the dishes, and now.

Mute Print 12-06-2005 09:40 PM

Haha, that's pretty crazy. I never usually listen to a band more than once a day, and if I do, I never listen to the same album both times.

BridgeToSolace 12-06-2005 09:40 PM

Well I realized I haven't listened to them in a while. So I did. And today after I did the dishes, a kid in my Careers and Comm Tech Class (Jeremy, so Brandon knows who I'm talking about) said they suck. He doesn't have the greatest music tastes if you ask me. I don't even know what he listens to.

At least they aren't the Alkaline Trio. :p

Vince: I used to do it quite a bit. When I downloaded Hawthorne Height's album about a year and a half ago, I listened to a couple times a day.

Pazz 12-06-2005 09:45 PM

I was listening to Thrice earlier today too. I wonder if my last.fm is working yet. I hope these got recorded.

Brian: I like Alkaline Trio

Edit: Time for bed for little Matt

Goodnight:wave:

Ohhh...I'ma tell Gaby and she's gonna castrate you :p

Hmm, I didn't like it much on first listen, but now after many listens, it might be their best to date imo. Tough call between all of them. All very consistent (except IOS which was a little Under Par) (lolz pun).

Mute Print 12-06-2005 09:50 PM

All of Thrice's albums are solid, unlike Alk3 who haven't produced anything better than an average album. :p

IMO: TAITA > Vheissu > IC > IOS

Crimson is a 9/10 album imo. The others in the 7-8 range. Definitely above average (if average is 5 like I weight them).

I might switch TAITA and Vheissu, but otherwise I think that's about right. But all are pretty close.

Jon: IOS is not better than Vheissu. No way.

Mute Print 12-06-2005 09:57 PM

I just don't understand the obsession over Alk3. I mean, they're okay, but so many people on here praise thm. I even had a few of people in the official thread suggest me some songs to help get me into them, and I still didn't like them.

Well, I'm off. Good night guys.
