I hate this stupid state. They said I can't get my license til tomorrow, but tomorrow's the first day of school and I only have 4 of 6 classes, and if I can't drive I'm stuck, AND they say if you've no classes you're not allowed in the building..afija0[q5j0[2q3948r[-agu [-9ufd[adsfjnads;fjk.

Oh, and I might not be able to get a parking permit at school. There's this uberly fagtarded rule that says that if you don't have your licence ON the first day of school, you can't get a parking permit EVER.

My driving test consisted of going around the block once. Yes, that's right: 4 left turns. I believe a rock could have passed this test.

I start taking drum lessons the 27th of this month. The guy is going to actually come to my house to teach me. Costs $50 for an hr and a half, which is pretty reasonable. He drums for a local band in Chattanooga called Milele Roots and does studio work for various bands. He has a myspace page f you guys want to check it out. Sweet the tennis lessons today were only $13. 4 other people actually showed up. But i need to work on my game. For those of you that know what this means, my backhand volley and serve suck ***. Well my serve is alright, I just need to add speed to my spin.

I used to have the same problem as you, not attacking the ball enough, but I think its just a confidence thing. Start practicing using a lot more strength and you'll be surprised how accurate you are (if you have the basic technique). Don't go overboard though, make sure you can control yourself.

Ya tennis is awesome. I should have started sooner though, Ive only been playing for a year, and I usually have to face people that have 4+ yrs of experience. Oh well, hard work and determination>experience.

yeah I play for my school. sadly this summer i've been busy (with drums and band, actually, haha, and work) and haven't played much but a couple times with my friends. the past few summers i've been in tournaments and stuff.

but yeah man tennis is awesome, keep with it, you'll be able to play the game for until you're really old (as opposed to more intensive sport like basketball).

I killed my cousin at tennis.

She takes lessons and everything, and all the time she serves it like she's going to destroy the ball. Sometimes it gets over, and when it does, I can't handle it, and she does the same when we're just volleying it back and forth, she destroys it and only sometimes does it go over, the rest hits the net or goes out of bounds.

Me on the other hand, I'd just take my time and weakly position it to a corner where she wasn't. Some of the nappiest shots ever, but I beat her.

I learned a valuable lesson. I don't know, it was something about patience, and slow and steady, and I don't know. I forgot.

Yeah, that's what I have to say on Tennis.

I love how small the court is, and how big the stadium is.

It angers me, how unproportional it is.

Most people that just beat the crap outta the ball will loose to someone who just hits it back. Unless the can hit it and keep it in, then youre screwed.

I play alot of tournaments around my area, and Ive won 2 medals :naughty: Gold and bronze, although my bronze looks shinier than the gold. But I never win any tournaments when I play with the school, mostly because I always have to play doubles.

*Here comes my long stories about tennis*

Ive only had one good doubles partner in my life, and sadly it was when i was a month into tennis and I was weighing him down badly. He was cool about it though and used it to teach me alot about tennis. Then Ive played alot of Freshman tournaments with a kid who has borderline ADD and has the worst reaction time in the world. Needless to say, I never won anything with him. But we did get to the finals in consolation twice, but no wins.

My 3rd doubles partner was good, and this ws when I had gotten a lot better at tennis. We were dominating the tournament. We made it all the way to the semifinals, and then he cramps up :mad: Like 5 minutes into the match, so we have no choice but to play on. So it was basically me vs the other two kids. My partner literally couldnt take one step so he had to stand there. So if there was ever a drop shot or lob I would have to go get it, then they would just hit it on my side. But we still got close. The score was 8-6. If he was healthy........

And semifinals are the worst time to loose. You loose in the finals, its a bummer but you still get a medal/trophy. If you loose before semis you really had nothing to hope for anyways.....

I pwn at table tennis. My dad used to be like, leeds university champ back when he went (like, 1980).

I watched starsky and hutch this evening. The music was awesome, and so was the show. Why don't they make shows like that anymore? Like, i'd much rather prefer watching two white guys driving round in a ford mustang than watching documentrys on how obese people are damaging the country. God damn BBC. We pay like, £120 tv lisence and you give us crappy TV. Thank god for rupert murdoch and sky :)
