I don't have an absolute favorite, so this list of 10 is probably my favorite!
1. Happiness is a Warm Gun 2. Here Comes the Sun 3. Nowhere Man 4. In My Life 5. It's Only Love 6. Sexy Sadie 7. Helter Skelter 8. I Want You 9. Strawberry Fields Forever 10. She Said She Said Tried to cover a broad margin with this list. |
I believe you're thinking of Jimi Hendrix.
PS: wtf
No Jimi Hendrix was that asian guy. You're thinking of Keith Moon. Man, that guy had a voice. |

Neither do I, they just have way too many good songs. |
I'm very sure they stop touring well before Abbey Road.
The Beatles last concert was August 29th, 1966 at Candlestick Park, in San Francisco. Abbey Road was released in 1969. I'm guessing they hardly even played any Revolver stuff (Revolver was released a few weeks before the final concert). I have heard Rubber Soul songs from them live, Nowhere Man sounded pretty cool live. |

They probably did, as most bands do when they are on tour right before the release of a new album. |

No I just looked it up on Wikipedia, we were both wrong. Jimi Hendrix was the name of Captain Jean Luc Picard's favorite comic book. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimi_Hendrix |

Beware my god-like powers of name-changing, fool. You have no idea what you are getting into. |
This thread has become very spammy in my absence. Hilarious, but spammy.
A friend of mine just told me his opinion of the Beatles today. I believe his exact words were "poppy, girly, crap music." Methinks it's time for a compilation...:) |

I think so too, and kick him in the nads. |
I would've but he had a jock on (twas in between periods of a hockey game) thus rendering my nads kicking useless.
|
Judging by his intellectual prowess in expressing well thought-out opinions, you could try punching him in the nose. That way you might break his finger......

That was actually pretty good  To bring this thread somewhat full circle, I learned some stuff about Ringo today. He spent a whole lot of time in the hospital when he was young for various reasons. One time his mother brought him a red toy bus and a toy drum. The boy in the bed next to him didn't have anything, so friendly Ringo leanedover to give him his toy bus, but he fell out of bed, smashing his head into a table and going into a coma. He missed so much schoolwork he could barely read or write, and he got put in a much younger class. Poor Ringo :( |
My nose looks like Ringo's.

I feel bad for you. ;) And yeah LepperMessiah, this thread has gotten kind of spammy, mainly thanks to my contributions. I introduced a friend of mine to The Beatles through Revolver today while we were driving around. I was suprised at how much he liked it considering he listens to mostly mainstream rock and rap. |

pix pleez I need something to laugh at.
I introduced a friend of mine to The Beatles through Revolver today while we were driving around. Well, it isn't wide like his, but it looks like his did from the side.
|
why wouldn't he like it?
Well, my past attempts at introducing my friends to classic rock haven't gone too well. |

have em listen to Helter Skelter, or Strawberry Fields. Strawberry fields is was did it for me. |
Strawberry fields is was did it for me.
Same here :chug: |
That song is so trippy it isn't even funny. Not sure if its the right song to introduce someone to the Beatles with.
|
Strawberry Fields? I don't think it's very trippy.
|
Trippy was the wrong term I guess. There's just some strange element about it. I haven't heard it in forever though so I may be mixing it up with something else. But it is quite strange.
|
It's psychedelic, but I've heard plenty of trippy psychedelia that blow it away. I know what you mean though, it is a very good song.
|
Well, my past attempts at introducing my friends to classic rock haven't gone too well.
1 2 motherfucking 3 It's more that they just kind of listen but don't care. |
I don't normally try to introduce my friends to my music. If I'm driving then I'll play what I want, and same goes for them. Every now and then I recommend a song or album that I think a certain person might like based on what they already listen to.
|
Just to bring up something interesting, I'm sure most've you have heard of the Paul is Dead scandal.
|
I'm shove my music down my friends throats. They all hate Jane's Addiction, Rolling Stones, Mike Patton in general, Joy Division, Fugazi and various other bands. But once in a great while I'll get someone turned onto a band, mostly freshmen and the Beatles - Sgt Pep's. In fact one of the kids I turned onto music basically (I'm not even kidding when I first started talking to this kid he said he only listened to music when he was going places in the car) any way he asked me if I would teach him guitar; I don't play guitar though...
Blue Jay Way is a sweet song. |
You shove your music down our throats too. I hate the Rolling Stones now.
