Eh..I've been accused of being an emo spambot...but no proof yet  |

What's his name? And did anybody watch Pimp My Ride? |

yea it is... oh yea and Cemetary Gates you can go to the Site forum to see why you were banned, if you didn't know. |
I already checked. And it said Spam, specifically a one word goodnight post.
|
Eh..I've been accused of being an emo spambot...but no proof yet
yea, you posted like 3,000 times last month and how is the 7,000 post guy doing it??? there isn't just one lesson forum to spam |
Mind Revolution is the user who is spamming lessons. All you have to do is run the bot, and you get a bunch of posts that occur every so often. The only problem is that he isn't doing it subtly, because he went from 800 to 6,700 over the course of a day, and that's just chaotic.
Gates was banned because a major of his posts ITT are short and substanceless, and the mod team is cracking down on those sort of posts. Meanwhile, I'm trying to write my conversation between the two philosophers... however, I need to think of where they would be talking that would be plausible. Suggestions (note: this is directed at people like Vince, magicbus, and Med)? |

What exactly is ITT? In this thread? Or not.
|
Which two philosophers? And do you mean a location they'd be talking at?
Aristotle and Seneca. I wouldn't have a problem if they were in the same time frame, but they aren't... so I just need a place for them that they would be talking. It can be very basic and simple, I just don't want them talking in the Underworld.
What exactly is ITT? In this thread?
Yes. |
Dee (DieDarwinDie) was banned too.
|
Your gimmick is worse than my dog gimmick. At least I stick to one account.
/// Still waiting on suggestions, please :) /// I am listening to the most wuss-emo song (not emotional hardcore, so don't give me shit for fucking up the genre name, thanks) ever. Well, maybe not ever, but it's up there alright. For some reason, it speaks to me, even though I've never had to deal with anything the singer talks about. I like the piano intro, though. It's 9.34MB, so 56Kers be weary |
Could you have them talking in a place like a theater or a council meeting or something crazy like that?
|
I do stick to one account. I hardly ever post in DieDarwinDie, except a couple of times to argue with myself.
|
Could you have them talking in a place like a theater or a council meeting or something crazy like that?
I could do that, yes. I need to try to be as generic as possible. A theater would probably be a good idea, except that I don't want them talking throughout the show :p An excerpt from the song I just posted: It's to dying in another's arms And why I had to try it It's to Jimmy Eat World And those nights in my car When the first star you see May not be a star [whiny] I'm not your star... Hahaha :emo: ///
I do stick to one account, I hardly ever post on DDD unless it's to argue with myself.
There are a whole bunch of places where you can take your arguments other than here. Do I have to list them out for you? Here's a suggestion: http://www.livejournal.com/ Or, alternatively, make two screen names using AIM and talk to yourself that way. |

OR You could make it a very bad play, and they are far superior to it, so they'd rather discuss philosiphy with each other. |
I think after I get out of school tomorrow I'm gonna run to another school, creep in, hand out pamphlets, and maybe hand out juice boxes.
|
lol, i like the idea of the AIM sn's
|
Thanks, 'bus.
What I think I'm going to do is try typing the meaty part of the conversation, and then work on the initial arrival and final farewell after I go see the profs during office hours and ask them for suggestions. [whiny] And then you'd bring me home And we go to sleep, but this time not alone And you'd kiss me in your living room I know you miss me in your living room 'Cause these nights I think maybe that I miss you in my living room... ... because we don't have much room to live... I have no clue why I like this song. FINAL WARNING: STOP FUCKING SPAMMING IN THIS THREAD. THIS GOES TO EVERYONE. I'm glad that the thread is moving along much better than it was, but there are still far too many lapses, and it's annoying. Knock it off. |

The problem is with philosophy most people just discuss it among groups of friends. |
Good work, Jim.
How are we all today? I'm on for a little while, since my weekend has turned into a quagmire of uni/work/social activities. I'm slowly wading my way through this mess. I went to the Dawn Service for the ANZAC day celebrations. I don't think I will go to the parade though. Lest we forget. On a lighter note, my chemistry lecturer replied to an email I sent him, indicating he might be able to get me a job in a lab. Good times. :D ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim, why not have the two philosphers meet at work. I didn't read exactly what these philosophers are, but I assume they are simply two ordinary people? In that case, have them meet in the tea room of an oil rig, etc. Make the environment a stark contrast to the dialouge. EDIT: Just saw your last comment. If this is ancient times, have them meet in a battlefield/foundry/stable etc. |
Could you have them discuss it over Starbucks?
|
Could you have them discuss it over Starbucks?
Starbucks didn't exist back then. plausible (adj) Giving a deceptive impression of truth or reliability. |
Yes, but they don't even live in the same time period.
|
If it's meant to be in ancient times I'd say school would be plausible or maybe the gymnasium.
|
I am starting to love Age of Silence. They took a while to grow on me, but now I love them. Thank you for uploading them a while ago DM/FF.

Holy crap!
I got my guitar back from the shop today with my new active EMG's installed in my guitar... And I must say, these own the hell out of my stock pickups that were originally in it. /extremely happy |
Topics
I'd say the idea of self and function in community is a good way to start, it's broad enough to cover what you listed, but specific enough to pinpoint certain parts of their ideas and not cover everything. If you're following in Plato's footsteps you could have one be out walking, encounter the other, and they discuss it whilst walking. By the way Jason 1, put some Aussie tours in my thread heh...it's so empty. |

My guitar is a Schecter Omen 6, and I put a 81 in the neck and a 85 in the bridge...
Killer stuff. |
