Say what you will, this band DESTROYS. |
Iskra
Hellbastard Amebix Some more good crust bands for proto-crust bands, or just good anarcho-punk, check Crass or Discharge. Good bands. You can youtube crass if you can't find their music anywhere. |
I hate Crass. That guy's voice makes me want to stick a shard of glass in my throat.
My god Crass's music sucks. I'll admit it. It blows and they never had decent vocalism. Even Johnny Rotten managed to sound pleasing in a sort of twisted way. But I think that was the beauty of Crass. They are to date still the ugliest sounding punk band aside from a few crust/early grindcore bands that manage to sound like utter ****. As a punk, the sh!ttier sounding it is, the better. 'Sides, they are the only punk band I can name that were a serious threat and seriously pissed off powerful politicians. That is noteworthy.
Crackwhore is my new addiction. These guys are awesome.
Crackwhore? Justin, that name almost makes me not wanna check them out, haha.
Seriously, dude. Check them out. I swear, they are so good.
I checked them out and Crackwhore sounds like every other band that does inhales and pinch harmonics.
I disagree. I think they sound really good at what they do. They sound grindey, death metaly, and gory all at the same time. The have low guttural growls and high shrieks. I love that.

bloody phoenix - ep
http://www.sendspace.com/file/c2a62t retiredat21 you might like em. |
What kind of music is it?
in grind we crust, duh
Word, I'll check it out. |
Maybe I just think that because I don't listen to that kind of stuff. Everything sounds the same before you get into it.

Yeah, that's kinda true. I remember thinking all death metal sounds the same. Boy, was I wrong. |
Okay, I took your word for it and Checked them out. They're actually pretty good. The only thing I don't like is the way the drums are recorded. They sound kinda weird. Like, the bass drum is too pronounced, and so it makes it seem off-time with the snare.
I really like how it sounds. It sounds really heavy and intense. I like the pig squeals and all that, it's crazy.
Pig squeals are the worst thing to happen to death metal.
I disagree. Some new things need to be infused into death metal to keep it fresh.
I don't listen to death metal but I'm going to throw my cents in that just because it's a enw idea doesnt mean it's a good one.
To each his own.
Pig squeals are the worst thing to happen to death metal.
Yep! Haha, I agreed 100%. |
Will someone provide a solid example of a pig squeal?
Yo I like Pig D but all the dudes that just said they hate pig squeals like Pig D too what's the deal?
