w00t, I finally ordered Pearl Optimounts!

Sunshine 11-29-2006 08:26 AM

Wow.

I got off the internet, messed around a little, went to bed, woke up, took a shower, ate breakfast...

And one person has posted in the hold since.

Do I live in serious off-hours or something?

Jeez.

CasB 11-29-2006 08:28 AM

I dunno...maybe everyone is busy drumming ;)

Sunshine 11-29-2006 08:29 AM

I would if I could.

But it's 6:14 in the morning and I still have to get ready for school =(

And defrost my car.

There's ice on it.

I thought I lived in the desert =/
w00t, I finally ordered Pearl Optimounts!
You have pearl export right?:)

I'm actually going to sell my exports...I never thought I would go this far, Im jsut a big pussy when I would have to sell things that I use very much and love. Lets hope some stupid hippie buys my set for a good price and helps me in getting a larger/better kit

CasB 11-29-2006 09:27 AM

Yeah I've got an export. And I do want a new kit eventually, but for now the export is okay. I just want to get rid of the freaking ISS, cause it ruines the sound.

Dave*Grohl 11-29-2006 09:31 AM

Yeah. I dislice the ISS too...it sucks balls.

I think I might buy a Mapex pro-m set next...cuz it a good kit, not as expensive as the best and highest end kits, but does the job good enough and if I get one I really wouldn't need a new kit for a looong time, mabey never.
:chug:

CasB 11-29-2006 09:39 AM

Hehe, yeah my next kit'll probably a Mapex Pro-M, Premier Artist or a Peace Paragon. Don't know yet, gotta save for my drivers license first :p

Corkofski 11-29-2006 09:47 AM
"He doesn't have chops, but he has groove."
That's just a plain lie.

Chad has some killer chops, and they're pretty damn smooth too.

The guy went to MI to study drums, and that's got to say something...

We_Love_Lime 11-29-2006 11:24 AM

Interesting post.
Look back on it, and see who I'm quoting. Quoting. Hence the quatation marks.

CHAD SMITH FANS.
I didn't say that.

Dave*Grohl 11-29-2006 11:47 AM
^ He has a weird sense of humor?
Haha, thats true. When I saw him live, someone asked him how much he benched (obviously referring to his man muscles) and he replied "I don't, I'm genetically blessed" haha, what a legend!

Dave*Grohl 11-29-2006 02:33 PM

I have to pee

Haha, yeah right. No one looks like that without EXTENSIVE exercise.

ringworm 11-29-2006 03:03 PM

Hey, are there household cleaners similar to groove juice?

I saw the Lemon idea but does anyone else have some nifty cleaning solutions for cymbals or even something that will remove logos?

Pleaseme 11-29-2006 03:05 PM

Had a weird dream last night, I dreamed that my kit was set up (somewhere, i really don't know where) and this old guy started having a go at me cos my toms weren't tuned properly.
He said the way to tune them is to have the first one ringing a lot, then the next one has to be dead, then the next one ringing, etc. In the dream I was like 'oh yeah that makes so much sense.'

But today I woke up thinking wtf??

He went for less than a month :-/

Talos 11-29-2006 03:06 PM

Anyone like my new display pic? Does anyone get it as well?

Panopticon 11-29-2006 03:09 PM

testing to see if my avi worked.

EDIT: no:upset:

EDIT2: Fixed that biatch.

trysthedrummer 11-29-2006 03:18 PM

ringworm, I read that Portnoy's tech uses windex (for you americans) or any old glass cleaner should do

works a treat, but dont spray too much on, only a little

to get logos off you can try a thick bleach, ive never tried it like

Panopticon 11-29-2006 03:20 PM

Windex doesnt work...at least not for me.

Dave*Grohl 11-29-2006 03:21 PM

That has to be one of the best xmas avatars around

ringworm 11-29-2006 03:22 PM

yeah, its missing some mistletoe though :)
who's remarkable caboose is that?

i wonder what GooGone would do with logos?

Ill do some tests when I get home today on some crappy cymbals

Dave*Grohl 11-29-2006 03:23 PM

Myth Busters is on today. yay
