Yeah, I still enter the LC; trying to keep it alive I suppose. Most of regulars don't enter or rarely enter nowadays.

I'm in my second year in a Writing course too. I'm currently writing a 3000 word short story that will hopefully be published by the end of the year for one of my assignments.

I still try and enter, but I always try to write something new for it and sometimes (like this time) the juices aren't flowing.

Still got a vote though. :)

And in a similar, I'm in the first year of an English Lit degree; creative writing is next year hopefully.

I'm majoring in Lit. Almost finishing up on Romanticism, currently discussing Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. Not a bad book.

Ahh, simple college algebra/intro to trig stuff...I think I did well on it, other than one problem i had absolutely no idea how to do. It sucks though, cuz there are only 8 questions on the test and each worth like 20 or so points. So basically, it hurts my neck.

I took Maths as A-level over here, it was incredibly hard compared to anything else i took, my attendance wasn't great though, so that probably contributed to me finding it tough.

All you guys seem to be taking some sort of English/writing course, i never did anything past what was compulsory, i feel like i'm missing out!

Yea, if you intend to further yourself as a writer, then a writing workshop is a great idea. I'm a Creative writing major at university and I only have good things to say about what its done to my writing. Most specialized courses have a Publishing course included as well where you get to make the sort of contacts you need to get into that world if you so choose. Having your work read every three weeks by 12 writers or so is always useful.

I do straight English, so creative writing parts are module choices. And I can do a creative writing dissertation at the end, which might be easier than a normal one.

Yeah, we have writing workshops every week for our short stories. Having 16 or 17 different responses gives you a different and wider perspective of how your piece looks and feels.
