Zomg the new project is out! :) Is it similar to Hate Forest with the low growls and such? Or is it a bit different?
Have you seen the movie Alpha Dog? I swear to god you look just like the kid JT kidnapped for ransom. Seriously dude, you look JUST like him.

Been wanting to tell you that for awhile.

AA-12 12-11-2007 11:31 AM

lmao why did you watch that move Austin

Nostalgia 12-11-2007 11:34 AM

Dude it was free on Demand. Plus, it was really ****ing good. It was weird though, they all dressed, talked, and walked like wiggers, but they were all neo-nazis with swastikas tattooed on their chests, haha.

AA-12 12-11-2007 11:36 AM

Was it really? I thought it would suck, hm.

Txus 12-11-2007 11:47 AM

Nah, it was pretty cool. Hot chicks.

Valhall 12-11-2007 01:13 PM

Josh, what's your screenname (AIM)?

he sort of does. that movie is ****ing awesome, I thought it would be really wigger-y and stuff but its actually really good.
One of the best parts is when the older brother of the kid that gets kidnapped (aka Stevo) knocks the black chick out.

It's a bit different, vocals are still very low but it has a different vibe to it altogether.

Me also.

I just started a review for Inquisitions' Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult, hopefully I can get some people on the review site to get it. :)

:h5:

any ideas on a rating?

Angmar 12-11-2007 08:31 PM

I think I'm going with a 4.5 the more I listen to it the more I realize how good they are at composing songs, and that they're superb musicians.

@Niflheim
Gaahl can think whatever he wants, but I just thought it was really stupid to just reply with the word "Satan". He could have said something with a little more intellect, so that people might see things as he does. It's kind of like when Dee Snider went to court for the "explicit concepts and lyrics" of Twisted Sister and no one really took him seriously until he started to speak because of his image or whatever, but he presented such good arguments that the PMRC basically just shut the **** up.
Perhaps he doesn't feel the need to elaborate. I really don't think it would be worth his time to sit and explain everything. He's not obligated to, nor should he. To sum everything up in a word is, to me, a greater sign of this "intellect" you speak of then rambling on like an idiot for an hour explaining what you mean.

Please do not put "Gaahl" and "Dee Snider" in the same sentence. Dee was enough of a whiner that compassionate people finally gave in. Gaahl does not have the need to be a little bitch. As with most good musicians, he says and does what he feels is necessary, and the rest of the world can screw themselves.

NemesisDivina 12-11-2007 08:33 PM

Good choice, I'm pretty sure that's what I gave it as well... and everything you said about it there is basically right on. Be sure to mention how awesome the vocals are.

Do you honestly think I could write an Inquisition review without mentioning the vocals?

I like them.

Have you heard any other Inquisition releases thus far?

Angmar 12-11-2007 08:38 PM

No but I've been meaning to get one, which would you say is 2nd best? I doubt any of them beat ITIROTAC.

NemesisDivina 12-11-2007 08:40 PM

Get Magnificent Glorification of Lucifer, then Invoking the Majestic Throne of Satan. But yeah, you should probably get around to getting all the full-lengths at some time or another. They're all good.

Angmar 12-11-2007 08:42 PM

I really wanna see them live, my cousin has and said it was awesome, plus they live like really close to me!

NemesisDivina 12-11-2007 08:43 PM

I bet they'd be quite a force live.

TOUR! TOUR! TOUR!

Angmar 12-11-2007 09:07 PM

Okay, I'm absolutely terrible at starting my reviews so could someone help me revise this opening paragraph to make it sound less lame? This is all from the review I will be posting here on the forums so don't worry. After I get past the intro I'm usually fine coming up with stuff to say.

Inquisitions’ Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult, is essentially the definition of cult black metal. Everything about this album screams cult, from the lyrics about praising Satan to the album cover. This album on the other hand, is anything but your average black metal release, this album happens to be one of the most intricate and thoughtful black metal releases I have ever heard. Unlike a good deal of black metal you will not find endless tremolo riffing combined with constant blast beats. Instead, you will find yourself being dragged through an epic journey which does not rely on speed to keep you interested, but pure quality musicianship.

NemesisDivina 12-11-2007 09:10 PM

*Inquisition's

I like it a lot actually. :thumb:

but you need to find a good transition for your first paragraph

You want me to say Inquisition is Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult?

I'm pretty sure when you put an apostrophe at the end of a word that makes it possessive.

Nostalgia 12-11-2007 09:13 PM

He means for it to not be after the S I think.

Inquisition's makes it possessive. If you are doing plural possessive (like if the band was named Inquisitions) then you would do what you are currently doing: Inquisitions'. :p

Angmar 12-11-2007 09:15 PM

Oh, yeah you would be correct, my mistake.

ATM 12-11-2007 09:15 PM

I'm going to download it :)

NemesisDivina 12-11-2007 09:16 PM

You would be wise to do so. :chug:

Yeah I think you will like it, there are some doom elements I would say, just know the vocals are very strange. But I actually like them.
