I starting to really like falling into infinity. I dont understand why people claim it to be their worst record.
It's not that bad, I think it's a good album. But it's definitely their worst IMO (except possibly WDADU).

My first album was ToT
Then IaW, Awake, 6DOIT, SFAM

To me, the best is still ToT and IaW...nothing can top those albums

scenesfromatheater 11-06-2005 04:14 PM

The first thing I heard was ACOS, I saw the video to it from LSFNY. I loved the song cause it had the cool Simpsons theme on the video, and then the little keyboard solo...so good.

SFAM?:naughty:

classicrockman 11-06-2005 04:41 PM

First DT album for me was 'Octavarium'...which is my favorite. And my second was 'Images & Words'...which is my second favorite.

IbanezSamurai 11-06-2005 07:56 PM

I've heard that there is a picture of MP in the Disney World's Epcot.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-06-2005 08:10 PM
My first DT album was Images and words... had never heard DT before and bought it on a whim...It completely blew me away...
Same here. Although I had heard the Glass Prison before.

The difference is I don't really like it :p

I do like Pull Me Under and Metropolis though.

These are actually 2 of my fav I&W tracks.

Metal_head45 11-07-2005 03:15 AM

My first album was TOT. I then got 6DoIT and IaW and Awake.

Lord Abortion 11-07-2005 07:26 AM

I like surrounded the best On I&W....

OK...I just like the intro and the end with JLB's voice being as emotional as I have ever heard it.

Deth 11-07-2005 07:28 AM

My first DT album was Awake. It was cool because my bass teacher gave me the album so I could learn 6:00 and Scarred. It didn't click with me right away, but I soon was able to see their brillance.

Lord Abortion 11-07-2005 07:38 AM

The easiest way to get me into a band is to give me a song of theirs with a huge catchy chorus, and I'll go from there...

So pull me under was fantastic for that...

I like the keyboard part when the drums kick in and I like the line: "It's been a long long time/he's had a while to think it over/in the end he only sees the change: Light to dark, dark to light, light to dark, dark to light"

haha, awesome :)

ThunderBass 11-07-2005 08:52 AM

My first was SFAM, then i picked up Awake, and though i didnt really strike me at first, its really growing on me... I still feel SFAM is better though IMO...

im hoping to pick up I&W and 6DOIT soon however...

Lord Abortion 11-07-2005 08:54 AM

It's the "tonight I'll still be lying here, surrounded...in all..the light."
bit that's just beautiful to me.

nowitzki 11-07-2005 10:24 AM

Listen to the intro of Father to Son by Queen... sound familiar?
(I reaslise a lot of you won't have the song but it sounds just like the intro to Surrounded)

scenesfromatheater 11-07-2005 10:25 AM

:D Awake is starting to grow on me now. I love every song on the album and I'm listening to it all the time (even during lessons at school...yes, I am a badass:naughty: ). I think the Silent Man is pretty cheezy though:lol: .

nowitzki 11-07-2005 10:27 AM
I think the Silent Man is pretty cheezy though:lol: .
I agree with you there, never been too sure about that song.

Jev 11-07-2005 10:31 AM

I'm considering The Silent Man for my GCSE piece. it's bound to get me a better grade than those doing Wake me up When September ends and Californication.
it's bound to get me a better grade than those doing Wake me up When September ends and Californication.
 Why, were you going to do them songs???

nowitzki 11-07-2005 10:36 AM

I think he meant other people are doing them.

Ahh good:lol: . I thought you were a traitor the great DT... I'm watching you...

No but I bet tons of the people in his class are planning to.

nowitzki 11-07-2005 11:05 AM

The DT song I've been listening to most recently - Lifting Shadows Off A Dream

Beautiful song, superb lyrics from JM.

scenesfromatheater 11-07-2005 11:09 AM

Innocence Faded, The Mirror, Lie, Lifting Shadows of a Dream, Space-Dye vest and Voices...all class songs off a class album

nowitzki 11-07-2005 11:13 AM
Voices is the only song that I enjoy on Awake, I got into it cause it goes from Octavarium to that on Once In a Livetime on winamp, so I always listen to it.
Your opinions changed quickly...

Yeah, everyone thinks that a popular easy song gets them good marks.

You should do the Dance of Eternity

What do you actually have to do?
