What was Mustaine like?
Very kickass. I'm starting to like Megadeth a lot more than I like Metallica XD

Suprisingly, I'm going to get Rust In Peace with The System Has Failed.

Armor O'Malley 09-12-2004 09:25 AM

Anyone remember seeing Mustaine on Nevermind The Buzzcocks (UK music comedy quiz show)?

He was the lad on that, headbanging during the 'guess this tune' bit. :D

DimebagDarrell 09-12-2004 12:31 PM

Best testament album IMO practice what you preach, read my review of it if you want :D

Scream Bloody Gore is great but Leprosy is better

Practice What You Preach has some good songs on it, but I still favor The New Order and Low.

You can buy any whiplash album, as they have all been re-issued by some lable or another (or didn't go out of print in the first place) or atleast, that was the case a few years back. Pretty good stuff, check out their first three albums for straight up thrash/speed or Sit Stand Kneel Pray and Cult Of One for some Metal Church styled metal.

I cant remember that one  which is kind of odd because i usedt to watch it alot but i do remember Dani Filth on it  that was funny, he took a few of the jokes but after a while he got pissed off and told he would smack him if he carried on [to mark lamarr]

ThrashMaster27 09-13-2004 03:53 AM

Haha, Mark Lamarr is a right cocky bastard. He did take a lot of crap on Shooting Stars though.

"He's a 1950's conman" haha.

You don't find bands like Whiplash on Kazaa, dude, look on soulseek. I have one song of theirs, it's called Power Thrashing Death, or something, which I can send to you if you like.

Check out Game Over, which I've tried to download for about 2 weeks now, but can't find it. It's great though. Another '86 classic.

manuscriptreplica 09-13-2004 04:03 AM

P.S what does everyone think of my new avatar? It's that thing from Doom II that shoots stuff at you from its mouth.

SLAYER: 'Still Reigning' DVD Packaging Preview Posted Online

Several photos from the packaging to the upcoming SLAYER DVD, "Still Reigning", have been posted online at the Rock N Roll Experience web site. Check them out at this location.http://www.angelfire.com/rock/e4/slayerblood.html

As previously reported, "Still Reigning" is scheduled for release on October 26. The disc will feature, for the first time ever, the original SLAYER lineup — Tom Araya (vocals, bass), guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, and drummer Dave Lombardo, who permanently rejoined the band in 2003 — performing an entire concert live. The cornerstone of the DVD will be the 1986, 28-minute classic album "Reign In Blood", performed in its entirety. During the final 45-seconds of the song "Raining Blood", "blood rains from the heavens," completely drenching the band, their instruments, and the stage. Hanneman unintentionally avoided the initial bloodbath as he stepped offstage for just a moment to handle a problem with his guitar, and missed the cue; but was deluged as he stepped back onstage.

"Still Reigning" was directed by Dean Karr (IRON MAIDEN's "Rock in Rio", the groundbreaking "Sweet Dreams" for MARILYN MANSON), and was shot on July 11 at the Civic Center in Augusta, ME. Ten cameras, including three hand-held mini-DVs, captured SLAYER throughout the day and evening, filming an abundance of footage and exclusive interviews shot backstage, on the band's tour bus, and live on stage. The DVD will have an approximate 75-minute running time and will retail for $14.98.

Arise 09-13-2004 03:27 PM

Withput wanting to pis of the entire Slayer-posse, am I the only thrasherhead who thinks Slayer (with the possible exception of the Seasons In The Abyss album) is just a heap of ****ing noise

sensitiveorgan00 09-13-2004 03:49 PM

Yes.

sensitiveorgan00 09-13-2004 04:05 PM

In other news, Steve Zetro Souza got fired from Exodus. Read what Gary has to say about him. http://www.exodusattack.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1842

JMetallica 09-13-2004 11:18 PM

Holy **** ay. Hahaha, I was wondering if that was really holt posting, it sounds rather brutal, although I wonder if his whining vocals are a true reflection of his manner in real life? If it is, i say good ridance to bad rubbish whinging people must die. Although, it will be interesting to see Souza's side of the story and what the outcome will be when all the dust settles.

Anyway, who would you like to see in exodus?

Corporal Compendia 09-14-2004 09:21 AM

Holt posted another statement apologizing... so it was most definitely him.

Arise, yes, yes you are the only 'thrasherhead' that thinks Slayer is just a pile of noise, Seasons aside... but then again, thrash is a fairly noisy genre. Chaotic/Messy thrash is the best kind of thrash.

manuscriptreplica 09-14-2004 09:43 AM

Well, that was humerous. It will be interesting to see Souza's side of the story, though. I thought Holt was very immature and unprofessional in his post, though. I wonder who the new vocalist will be.

DisposableHeroes 09-14-2004 09:53 AM

holy **** that came as a shock
