when cathredral played, the guitarist was right at teh edge, and when he wanted to use a pedal he went even further, nearly behind the PA system. Half the people probably coulnt see, put ya pedal board in the middle of the stage!

Get [I]Cruelty and the Beast[/I], or [I]the principle of evil made flesh[/I].
The latter is a real black metal album, though.

If you're looking for their best, than I couldn't choose just one. [I]Dusk & Her Embrace[/I] is great, but [I]Midian[/I] and [I]Damnation and a Day[/I] are both better for the heavier stuff.

Every single one is good, except for perhaps [I]Bitter Suites to Succubi[/I], which may be a [I]bit[/I] sub par. Still has some great tracks though.

I have been listening to cradle of filth for quite a while now. i dont know what genre to put them in, i would have said black metal but have been told otherwise.

the albums i own are bitter suites to succubi, cruelty and the beast, damnation and a day, dusk and her embrace, from the cradle to enslave[EP], midian, nymphetamine and the principle of evil made flesh.

my favourite/s are cruelty and the beast and damnation and a day.

so anyway if you want to discuss anything regarding cradle of filth do it here.

I haven't heard much, but most people consider them gothic metal.

What about the COF thread Thor made? Did it die or something?

I don't really like them that much. Danny Filth does really dangerous things to his voice that actually don't sound that good to me anyway. Everything before D&aD was alright though.
