yeah i dont really like that song that much...my favorite song off STA is MR. Jack i love that song |
Off STA, I'd say that Boom and Bubbles come to mind. I can't think right now, though.

Yeah, just a minor thing though.....I thought the 80's matchbox were terrible. I love all the songs on STA except for 36. Mr Jack, Roulette, Boom and IEAIAIO |
hey 80's matchbox were rather rubbish. but then noone was really there to see them. everyone wanted them to get off so system could come on. an inevitable bad situation for them. they're actually a pretty class band on album but the vocalist sounds a touch to much like elvis for my liking. p.s. mr jack was incredible on the opening night...
|
I heard 80's matchbox kept getting booed and there where chants of "Fuck the system!"
 |
Yeah, just a minor thing though.....I thought the 80's matchbox were terrible.
IEAIAIO
tr00f, i went to the bar through their set.... hehe toilets nest to the stage guys were protesting to come out until 8-'s MB were finished. edit : sup page 24 |
I really like them actually but am yet to see them live so do not know if they are terrible live or not
|

Heh, sorry about that triple post, my computer was being lame.
Anyway, I'd love to see SOAD live. |
I wanna see them live tooo
They're here the 21th this month, but I've just bought a bass guitar and I'm quite out of money |
My friend and I were talking about the song "Old School Hollywood" today in school and all of the poser goth kids started singing the song. It really made me mad.
|
ive seen videos of soad live and it makes me wanna see them alot. i thought STA was pretty good.. i liked 36.. but favorite was probly highway song, then streamline and thetawaves.. but yea honestly one of my fav. soad songs thats an old old classic and not many people have heard it is friik!.. i also like the song blue.. anyone hear any of these songs?
|
I just bought the new album Mezmerize, and I was wondering what B.Y.O.B. stood for, some people I know told me it meant Bring Your Own Bombs, and others told me it meant Build Your Own Bombs. What does it mean?
|
It really means Bring Your Own Bombs.
|
Good live band. Saw them twice this year and I was impressed. (Although my main reason for being there was the supporting act :D )
They seemed really tight live, and even the crazy vox were bang on. Got to hear a bunch of the new songs way before the album which was sweet. But the best part was when they played my 2 favourite songs back to back Roulette and Prison song. Mezmerise definately isn't my favourite album of theres but a good disc all the same. |
It really means Bring Your Own Bombs.
Ok, thanks. EDIT: To the post above mine, what supporting act were you seeing. |
BYOB, ATWA, IEAIAIO, PLUCK, anybody else see a trend?
|
^ you forgot ADD
|
Ok, thanks.
EDIT: To the post above mine, what supporting act were you seeing.
Rise Against :thumb: Don't get me wrong though, I'm a fan of system..I just probably wouldn't have seen them both times |
Yeah, that's it. I was wondering if there was one on STA that actually stood for something. In that case, screw IEAIAIO.
|
Yeah IEAIAIO doesnt stand for anything its just jibberish :thumb:
|
BUMPTY..
Anyone seen john recently? He's gone bald again! :thumb: |
BUMPTY..
Anyone seen john recently? He's gone bald again! :thumb:
Yeah, Daron has had his hair cut too. |
I love the new song and video. I will go check out the new album.
The new album is way too soft, i mean BYOB has a F****n' pop chorus. Their distortion has gone too scratchy and not hard and thick enough. Alot of songs are really soft. Cigaro is the only good song on Mezmerize. Their previous albums were way way better. |
Meh, it's not too soft. Also, pop chorus? What do you mean by that? Anyway, i'd say that I prefer this one to all of their other ones, but Toxicity is about = to this one IMO.
|
BYOB is supposed to have a poppy chorus, Its a pisstake :thumb:

yes ive heard all of thier unreleased tracks except thier very first, "Flake" but i like them all. "Friik" is one of my favorites. the song "Dam" i really didnt get, not only could you not understand what he was saying but it didnt sound like them at all to me. |
Anyone ever heard "The Legend Of Zelda" by Soad?
|

it probably sounds differant because Daron uses Gibson SG now and they are not tuned in drop C anymore. its drop D, half step down i think. Db |

ADD is a medical condition. |
And/Or American Dream Denial.

I think radio/video is pretty poppy. I still love that song though. |
Just because music is poppy doesn't mean it sucks. I don't get it why people are "scared" to listen to music that can be catchy and poppy. If it sounds good, nothing else matters.

Yeah for sure. I also hate when people dont like a song cause its on MTV. If its good, its good. |
