I've heard that before, and yes it's extremely hot.

guns_n_roses=Slash+Axl 07-12-2006 11:13 AM

thats hot. oh **** i just quoted that dumbass who shouldn't even be famous paris hilton. ****.
Guns N' Roses news site GunsNRoses.us has posted the following message from GNR guitarist Richard Fortus:

"The [European] shows have been going well. Axl's [Rose] voice is better than ever. Everyone is looking forward to the record finally being released. We are all very excited.

"Thanks to you and to all of the fans that haven't given up on us! This is the year!"

As previously reported, Guns N' Roses looks likely to return for more U.S. shows this autumn, possibly starting in September, according to a press release. Following the band's recent four-night stand in New York City, their first live shows since late 2002, Rose said, "We've just finished our four shows in New York and had an amazing time. New York has always been special and it feels great to be doing this again particularly in front of so many friends. I am very excited about Europe and getting back over here in September."

The group, which features no original members from its classic lineup other than Axl, began a run of European festival shows on May 25.

Rose has been saying that the band's long-delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy", will be out later this year.

Kyle 07-12-2006 11:29 AM

I'm hedging my bets for a November/December release. The big rumour was for September, but I don't think there's enough time to do the neccessary promotion now. I'm probably being Naive again though to be honest, next year might be more realistic.

I have now decided to hand in my notice and quit work ending on the day before I go see GNR, making it all the more sweet. Which is 18 days, without trying to rub it in too much!

If it's going to be this year, a Christmas period release would be my bet, since more people are likely to be buying albums around then.

an actual copy of Chinese Domacracy
and he said that there was only like one

..Axl Rose should've changed the name of
the band.

I shoul downlolad it since it's hot eh

cause im hot.

Kyle 07-15-2006 10:37 AM

I have that version of My Michelle on my computer in DVD quality :D Unfortunately I think that's probably the worst I've heard Bach sing it, even though his stage prescence is shit hot as usual. I've also got Paradise City from Donnington in DVD quality, it's awesome.

clown_phobia 07-15-2006 03:55 PM

Who sings the different songs off Appetite for Destruction? That's not axl singing them all, is it?

MRDuCran 07-15-2006 04:16 PM

Why not, he's the singer.

clown_phobia 07-15-2006 04:21 PM

It just sounds different...

MRDuCran 07-15-2006 04:44 PM

As far as I know it's him but I'm sure you could find out if anyone else did vocals in the album booklet.

6stringed 07-15-2006 05:45 PM
Who sings the different songs off Appetite for Destruction? That's not axl singing them all, is it?
Yeah, It's Axl. He has good vocal range.
He was a deep voice when he talks normally.

guns_n_roses=Slash+Axl 07-15-2006 10:20 PM

axl indeeds has a good vocal range

blue3 07-15-2006 11:52 PM
It just sounds different...
Yeah. When I first listened to 'It's So Easy' I didn't think it was Axl.

Kyle 07-16-2006 02:50 AM
Who sings the different songs off Appetite for Destruction? That's not axl singing them all, is it?
What parts do you mean? Izzy and Duff do lots of backing vocals, but Axl sings the songs on appetite.

scurvy 07-17-2006 10:20 PM

axl can't sing for crap, but he does a good job at it
my favorite songs though are when they put stradlin up to the mike, it's just dirtier and more raw, very badass

Lord Abortion 07-18-2006 04:24 AM

Tomorrow...woo

I want to see Mr Brownstone and Nighttrain the most, then Patience and Civil war, those would be superb.

Kyle 07-18-2006 04:34 AM

Oh awesome, which venue is it you're going to?

Don't expect Civil War, they havn't played that all tour, except Dizzy has included little bits from it in his piano solos. But they will definitely play Brownstone and Nightrain, and most likely Patience too.

Lord Abortion 07-18-2006 04:40 AM

Damn, I really like Civil War.

Newcastle Arena, I'm seeing them at.
I'm really excited about it, I've been really getting into the band this past month or so.

Kyle 07-18-2006 04:49 AM

Awesome, Newcastle is my roots, my family originates from there :D Never been to the Newcastle Arena though, but I'm sure it's better than Wembley Arena, which is awful.

I think Civil War is the one track, which the majority of fans really want to see included. The set is very AFD heavy at the moment though.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-18-2006 04:55 AM
I've been really getting into the band this past month or so.
as have I.

Lord Abortion 07-18-2006 04:58 AM

I think that Think about you and the last three tracks on AFD are slightly less good.
Everyone goes on about Paradise city, Sweet child O mine and Welcome to the jungle, but I think that Night train and Mr Brownstone are better than all of those, possibly it's so easy, too.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-18-2006 05:01 AM

Nightrain is definitely one of my favourites. Just for the second half alone.

Kyle 07-18-2006 05:03 AM

Yeah, those might be my favorite 3 tracks on AFD. I like the whole thing, but my 2 favorites are definately It's So Easy and Mr Brownstone. Are you including Rocket Queen in that though? That track is one of the strongest in my oppinion.

Lord Abortion 07-18-2006 05:06 AM

Yeah, Rocket Queen is pretty good, but I don't like it as much as some of the other songs on the album.

Kyle 07-18-2006 05:10 AM

Fair enough, the solo in the second section of that song is brilliant. Especially when Axl joins with the "n-n-no n-n-no n-n-no" bit.

clown_phobia 07-18-2006 05:17 AM

I think it's a good way to end the album

Kyle 07-18-2006 05:20 AM

Also, the second section was like a sign of things to come for Use Your Illusion. It reminds me of the second section of Estranged and other moments from the double album.

Josh 07-18-2006 10:24 AM

/waits for tomorrow night at Newcastle...(going with Lord A)
i hope they do a shítload of stuff from Appetite :)

Kyle 07-18-2006 10:44 AM

To fill you in a bit, here is the typical setlist they are playing, this one was in Prague;

Welcome to The Jungle
It's So Easy
Brownstone
Live and let die
Better (new song)
Robin Finck guitar Solo
The Blues (new song)
You Could Be Mine
Bumblefoot's Solo (With don't Cry instrumental)
Chinese Democracy (new song)
Beatiful (Christina Aguilera cover instrumental with Robin and Richard)
Sweet Child O' Mine
Out Ta Get Me
November Rain
Knockin On Heaven's Door
My Michelle (w/ Sebastien Bach)
Think About You (w/ Izzy) - This won't be here if Izzy isn't there.
Patience (w/ Izzy)
Nightrain (w/ Izzy)
----------------------
I.R.S
Robin's Solo
Paradise City

That's a kind of generic setlist which has been played throughout the tour. They might throw in new songs There Was A Time and Madagascar aswell, and maybe remove Patience and one of the new songs. They've also played Used To Love Her sometimes when Izzy has turned up.
