The new PD track is fucking awesome. Way better than what I expected after hearing they were taking on a more death metal sound.
Just wait until the lyrics are released. I have no idea what the **** he's saying but based on experience he'll probably have done one hell of a job.

I think the "death metal" had more to do with the song lengths and whatnot.

Poofy 666 04-21-2007 10:21 AM

Wow, that song is really awsome. Pig Destroyer are awsome.

Txus 04-21-2007 10:27 AM

Yeah, new PD is going to be killer.

True.

Poofy 666 04-22-2007 12:46 PM

What are your favorite PD songs?
Starbelly, Hyperviolent, and Towering Flesh for me.

Insect Warfare is opening for Summer Slaughter here in Houston. Yay!

Insect Warfare is a win.

My favorites are "Starbelly," "Towering Flesh," "Scatology Homework," "Thumbsucker," and of course..."Piss Angel."

Thumbsucker is definitely my favorite PD song.

Grind albums all just merge into one big song for me....I don't bother to pick out individual bits.

RetiredAt21 04-23-2007 02:01 PM

So many people say that and it really bothers me.

Phalanx 04-23-2007 02:46 PM

I haven't really dabbled into grind but I got both Ion Dissonance albums and it kicks ***.

I quite like Sikth as well but i'm not 100% what grind is since Ion Dissonance and Sikth are very different.

RetiredAt21 04-23-2007 02:54 PM

Ion Dissonance isn't really grind.

I'm sorry, I'll make more effort next time.

So yeah, Pig Destroyer's new song kicks ***.

i was just going by their myspace really, they seem to use a lot of high pitch and low pitch guitar and stuff but like I said, im not 100% sure what grind is
So many people say that and it really bothers me.
Seriously. When I first listened to grind, songs indeed bled together. When I actually gave it time though, they each became very individual. Now I don't see the whole, "every song is the same" argument.

Werny 04-24-2007 06:02 AM

Grind, to me, usually just sounds like an onslaught of riffs.

Which is excellent.

Lost Cause, Restraining Order Blues and Carrion Fairy are my fave PD songs, hard to pick though. Do you guys like Prowler in the Yard? I can't enjoy it, I find it to be really terrible.

TojesDolan 04-24-2007 09:49 AM

Brutal Nekkro Sex, would anyone mind to explain me the musical focus of this band please?

._.

Hahaha, that's the worst "band" ever. I'm pretty sure it's just one guy and he obviously has no talent whatsoever. I wouldn't call that shit grind.

Prowler In The Yard is my favorite PD album.

Shame on you......Prowler In The Yard's great if you ask me. Drumming's so cool

RetiredAt21 04-24-2007 12:27 PM

Yeah, for real. Prowler In The Yard seriously owns. You should give it another chance or something.

I'm hurt.

If you like Terrifyer you should like Prowler in the Yard... give "Piss Angel" a listen and read through... maybe something will click.

Txus 04-24-2007 05:11 PM

Ì like Terrifyer a bit more than Prowler but both albums are masterpieces in their own way.

RetiredAt21 04-24-2007 05:37 PM

Their split with Orchid is pretty cool.

Txus 04-24-2007 05:41 PM

I don't have it :(

omgwtfboogie 04-24-2007 05:58 PM
Their split with Orchid is pretty cool.
True that.

I also like the rest of the earlier discography, although there's no denying it's not as powerful as what's been released in more recent years.

purplefeet 04-24-2007 09:13 PM

Just picked up the Gut/Rompeprop split...cd is pretty sick.

Rompeprop will never let me down.

Poofy 666 04-24-2007 09:18 PM

Flikflakmnwokkeltokttralies makes me dance.

Romeprop are awsome.

Fuck yes, that band is absolutely sick.

Werny 04-27-2007 08:02 AM

I just dig the extremely heavy and noisy production on Terrifyer, and the riffs are so musical. Prowler doesn't appeal to me because the production is terrible and most of the riffs just fall flat with me.
