metallica.... very very good band.. with my help.. they could be the best haha JK they ARe the best i am especially into the entire '...and justice for all' album tho. wow.. that mite be the peak of their playing career.. its awesome.

I dunno if anyone else has herd about the new rumor regarding metallica. Basically it says they’ve been working on a lot of new material and there coming out with a new album in late 2004.

I wish they would make a record that combined Nu-metal and thrash.... u know like have the rhythms and drop C tuning of St. Anger but have solos like from their pre-Black days and have really better production... that would be killer

i commend them for trying to do something newer, but more ppl would enjoy them for who the originally were. also, they dont look like there having as much fun as back then

[Offtopic] Some of my personal favs.: Implements of Destruction (14 minute HEAVY instrumental), Pass out of Exsistence, Let go (get this one first, its THE BEST), Severed, The pictures in the gold room. and one of the best songs, Cleansation. [/Offtopic]

As you listen to these songs, note how excellent their drummer is :D:D:D:D:D. Hes my favorite member.

Metallica's next album is gonna have some songs they recorded when James was in rehab. Kirk said it's gonna be more black album style. So that means... SOLOS!!

Ride the lightning. One nice a[i][/i]ss solo. Actually one of the harder Metallica solos out there.

but solos i enjoy playing:

Sanitarium (all of them, especially the first two are mind blowing)
Master of Puppets
Enter Sandman
Unforgiven II
Damage inc. (ok i wish :upset: )

Yeah. A few of them i REALLY like like sanitarium for example.

^ Yeah he wouldn't Nor James or lars. Because they've been in too long. And metallica is basically James and bob rock. So james will never leave.

Two of my favorite solo's is in Orion, the distorted bass solo at 6:35. Even though it sounds simple, I like it becuase when most people hear it they think its a guitar. Also in that song, i love the simple but sweet bass solo at 3:58.

Metallica are going to be touring for another year then they are going to be back in the studio by the end of 2004.

They are also going to be releasing some recordings they did before James went into rehab, plans on how these recordings will be released have not yet been decided.

Who here would love to see another really angry album from them. Similar, but not the same as ...And Justice For All. I think that would be really good because it's so much more fun to listen too.

That is complete bull****. I'm not going to follow a band blindly. If people like the new stuff, they have a right to like it. But to like it just because it has the name Metallica on it is stupid. Would you listen to Metallica if they became a gangster rap band? It's possible to be a fan of a band and not like all their stuff.
