hmmm... the solo in Psycho blows my mind every time... you're right though, he isnt the greatest guitarist, but he is one hell of guitarist for the amount he contributes to the band with his guitar AND vocals, which in my opinion totally makes the band.

I think I'm the only one who hates Daron's vocals...

His riffs are unbelievably fun to play on guitar, but his voice is SOOO irritating.

You're definately not the only one, that's one of the biggest complaints from people who don't like Me[B]z[/B]merize. He does have a high-pitched voice at times, and I could see how one would find it annoying. I personally think he sounds better than the singers of most of these new pop-punk bands on MTV, which is very sad indeed. That Newfound Glory guy is the worst singer ever, i'd be embarrassed to have a voice like that. But yeah anyways, Daron's high-pitched voice works with Serj's deep voice very well IMO. Daron seems to know his limits on vocals and doesn't overdo it(unless it's on purpose like in Old School Hollywood).

ive seen other people who hate darons voice. i like it personally. i think it can sound good in a beautiful way and a freakin out wtf way.and about darons solos, u gotta give him some credit on solos like soil, science, psycho, marmalade, metro, and peephole has a cool solo in it also. they may not be the hardest things to play, but imo i like his solos more than toms any day.(no offense to tom or tom lovers)

and something i need to complain about.. NOBODY SPELLS meZmerize correctly. .. its a Z not an S.. ive already mentioned this like more than once in this thread...

My only complaints with Mezmerize:

1) Some of the new songs lack emotion in comparison to previous efforts. The Cocaine one in particular just sounds like Serj half-assing and just talking weird. Not that I have a problem with him talking weird, but he's usually much better at it, if that makes sense.
2) Some of the lyrics are way too simple and repetitive. You mean to tell me Daron seriously couldn't come up with a 2nd, different verse of lyrics to Radio/Video? It really wouldn't seem that difficult. Not a big deal I know, but it's basically listening to the same exact thing twice in a row.
3) Everyone is saying this I know....but they recorded over 30 songs for the 2 albums, and it only looks like they're going to release maybe 23ish, and they're still charging for a double album when it will barely be more minutes than a normal album. That's stupid.
4) That's all I can think of for now.

i was very disappointed in their latest album mesmerise aswell,

i think their time is done, self-titled and toxicity probably their best.

darrens voice is terrible aswell. in "Radio Video" they do like a duet lol

Some people just don't like Mezmerize because it isn't the same old SOAD they are used to. I think their change is actually better, and a major improvement from Steal this Album.

They've always been doing duets since Toxicity, I don't know why you could only single out one song. Has it been THAT long since Chop Suey was all over the radio/video?

Their time is done because they've evolved and are moving on to something more complex and better? :confused:

Some of the songs can be linked musicly back to the older ones. Like in a few song they sound somewhat like older ones (<and if anyone use that as a negative to them are fuc[U]k[/U]in idiots.)

Sorry for asking but I started a cover band in the 'tallica thread and I got my members and we decided songs. Then I asked them to record there bits and none of them had recording capabilites.
