I really don't know if I can afford to go, its £60 return on the train (I hope I can get a lift) and tickets are £30.

Zebraprint trousers £60 left to pay next week (paid £5 deposit)
Renegade Playboys gig guestlist but travel ~ £5
Nothin' To Lose/SPiT LiKE THiS gig £10 including travel
Dragonforce guestlist in Oxford, travel ~ £20
Dragonforce in London maybe, ~ £20
Friend owes me £20

I can't afford life.

Jon 09-11-2005 09:00 AM

lol, wildwho? Hanoi are playing...

Anyway the rumours that they'll be coming back in the winter are looking more true, they've got a new label and the new album is getting a general release.

Jon 09-11-2005 09:15 AM

NP: Dogs D'Amour - World's Different Now

Jon 09-12-2005 10:29 AM

Basically the same, just without talkbox solos in every song.

ITT: We ponder how much better Bon Jovi would've been with George Lynch and Randy Rhoads as their guitarists.

Dude...

I'll post photos of my Zebraprints when I pick them up btw.

Some photos I found of me looking hideously drunk, hideously underage (it was only like 3 months ago :() and generally hideous

NP: Manic Street Preachers - Drug Drug Druggie

Jon 09-13-2005 02:15 PM

I look fucking anorexic in the first picture, its a mix between a sort of pout and sticking my tounge out and sucking my cheeks in and its horrible :(

NP: Personality Crisis

Jon 09-13-2005 02:18 PM

I seriously don't remember that photo being taken, I can't even make out if its in the Fox or in the street or in Decadence. I remember holding the camera out in front of us for the second one and everything, the first one is just like wtf when did that happen.

And I could swear to god slutter wasn't wearing The Shirt that night.

NP: Planet Queen

ZoolanderHotept 09-13-2005 03:01 PM

Has no one mentioned Quiet Riot yet? It was Randy Rhoads first band. Although the only two albums he played on (Quiet Riot I & II) are only avalible as imports. You can get Metal Health and Condition Critical here in the states easily though. They were easily the best Hair Metal band ever, and the first Metal band to have a number 1 single. (Come on Feel the Noize)

Jon 09-13-2005 03:13 PM

First Metal band to have a number 1 single? What about like...uh...KISS or Deep Purple?

ZoolanderHotept 09-13-2005 03:20 PM

Deep purple and Kiss were both classified as rock on the Billboard charts at the time of their singles hit the charts. Kiss's "Strutter" hit number one in the US only, same with "Smoke on the Water". "Come on feel the Noize" hit number 1 internationaly. I probaly should of said they were the first metal band to have an international number 1 hit.

Jon 09-13-2005 03:35 PM

Wow, never knew that :)

They sure did rock, its just a shame so many Americans heard the original and were like "Hey, they covered that Quiet Riot song!"

Metallifan85 09-13-2005 04:35 PM

Slade was alright. The Quiet Riot cover had a more energetic feel to it, I think so anyway. And that feeling is what I listen to this kind of music for <3

Jon 09-14-2005 10:18 AM

Yeah, its just how people thought it was a Quiet Riot original and all, just like silly kids I know think Heaven is a DJ Sammy original.

Jon 09-14-2005 11:03 AM

I was about to say, Oasis do a great version :p

NP: Ace Frehley - Rip It Out

Jon 09-14-2005 12:28 PM

Have you heard any Monroe solo stuff?

I downloaded Dead, Jail or Rock'n'roll the other day, its pretty good.

NP: The Final Countdown. I think I'll get my band to cover Rock The Night instead, there's only so much cheese you can have.

blue3 09-14-2005 05:20 PM

I've never heard any of his solo albums..

Jon 09-15-2005 01:44 PM

ITP I have new photos. First two in this folder, but feel free to look around.

The newest one is like 15 minutes ago, I was practicing some makeup for a gig tomorrow night, the other one is a few weeks ago when I felt like wearing full leathers and not much else.

http://photobucket.com/albums/y194/jondz3003/Recent%20photos/

Jon 09-17-2005 05:05 AM

Hahahahahahahahaha

so last night I was in the toilet area of the marquee club doing makeup with sebz and dave from the playboys and this ****ing 27 year old FASHION STYLIST from the seperate party in the penthouse comes up to me and asked where I got my trousers and said she loved my whole image and everything. I was wearing a motley shirt, zebra print trousers, a glittery leopard print scarf, red eyeshadow, black eyeliner, fishnet armwarmers and my black+white converse with alternate laces (one white one black)

oh, and the official playboys camcorder + camera girls kept filming me and my friend :)

Doctor Night 09-17-2005 11:14 AM

Isnt Marc Bolan and T- Rex a Glam rock Band?

Jon 09-17-2005 12:36 PM

Well yeah, I'd say so :-/

Jon 09-17-2005 01:03 PM

The one they were selling outside the NEC. It has the Red White & Crue cover (or something similar) on the front and the tour dates on the back.

See I could have worn the TFFL shirt but everyone and their platform boots wear's that shirt and it bores me to death. The Girls one is pretty lame and the only other decent Crue shirt still in production is from America so I can't afford it atm/

Jon 09-17-2005 01:17 PM

lol, mine was a fiver.

I need to take some photos of my glam attire soon actually. My friend gave me her glittery leopard print scarf so I'm all happy and stuff.

As for next glamclothespurchase I need some footwear...I've narrowed it down to either Leopard Print hitops or some platforms.

The thing is that I don't want to buy boots I can't walk in, so maybe some New Rocks or Cowboy boots?

Hollywood Rose 09-17-2005 01:46 PM

Hair Metal kicks complete a$$.

Hollywood Rose 09-17-2005 01:47 PM

Jon 09-17-2005 01:49 PM

Hollywood Rose 09-17-2005 01:51 PM
Try not to double post, man. But yeah, I listen to a little Winger every now and then. They're not great though, their cover of Purple Haze is especially awful.

Madaleine (sp?) > Miles Away thx
Sorry man, but my friend wrote the first post. And yeah.

Jon 09-17-2005 01:51 PM

Its cool, double or quintuple post all you want in this thread, I do it enough.

Hollywood Rose 09-17-2005 01:52 PM
Its cool, double or quintuple post all you want in this thread, I do it enough.
I know, it makes the thread bigger. What's wrong with that?

Jon 09-17-2005 01:55 PM

It gets annoying after a while, but its nothing to get your spandex in a twist about.

Just finishing doing my music composition and listening to Love It To Death then I'll stick some Winger on.

Hollywood Rose 09-17-2005 01:56 PM

Reb Beach kicks a$$ at guitar!
