What did you do?

After she expected you to chuckle, I mean.

EDIT: I'm always slow off the mark.

Since this is now a useless post otherwise..what is this Egypt bombing Antihero mentioned?
A terrorist working alone made a crude nailbomb and set it off in Old Cairo, in a plaza that draws a lot of tourists. Four are dead, and 34 (I think) wounded.

Illmatic 04-10-2005 09:33 PM
I'm sure her family thought it was hilarious too. They are probably still high-fiving over the pure hilarity of it.
Oh, definitely. It was a barrel of laughs in that household for sure.

God, I still can't believe it. I don't know how she could think that it was funny, or how she could joke about it so casually, or how she didn't realize the seriousness of the issue. Did she really think anyone involved would have gotten a kick out of it? I just don't get it.
I posted a good Minutemen song in the YSI thread. Everyone check it out.

:)
I'd love to, but I'll have to wait til I'm back at Uni, most likely. Which album is it from?

Endless Obsession 04-10-2005 09:34 PM

This is Rays girlfriends parents.

Oh, okay. That's weird though, this is the first I've heard of this. Maybe the royal wedding is overshadowing actual news in my country at the moment.

Here is a picture from the first time I met Ray:

Royal wedding?

"Sally and Johnny love my hat!!"

"Johnny calls me 'da man!' That puts me at ease. It makes me feel comfortable, because I am Black and that's how Black folks talk to one another."

Is that site a joke?

Either way it's funny.

ATM 04-10-2005 09:37 PM

Of course it's a joke. It's hilarious.

"Sally and Johnny always ask me how the entire black community feels about certain topics. I really respect this about them because I am black and therfore obviously know how all blacks feel about everything!"

Double Nickel on the Dime. I would have posted some stuff from Buzz or Howl Under the Influence of Heat, but DNOTD is much more likeable.

I probably would have died. Seriously. I would just excuse myself and not leave until I calmed down. There isn't exactly a fine line between joking and not joking... you have to seriously cross a huge line in order to mess something up like that.

My roommate's actions has ruined my week... but I'm not going to let that stop me. I have sixteen more days with this douche, and then I will be glorious.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. You're one of the millions who doesn't know or care.

ATM 04-10-2005 09:39 PM

I didn't know anything about it either.

Kurtz 04-10-2005 09:40 PM

Charles has remarried, yeah. I don't really understand why he and Camilla didn't just marry each other in the first place.

I didn't doubt you were serious, though :)
Wait, what?
I'm saying that if I was in your position, I would have died on the spot.

I would have excused myself (from the company of the girlfriend) until I could compose myself again.

I'm not saying that there is a fine line between joking and not... the line is very distinct.

Clarified? :-\

I meant to say "and left" but a "not" made its way into there.

Hmm..maybe I'll go watch a video and let it download on this computer, then. I've been wanting to hear Double Nickel.. for a while now. Been wanting to buy it, basically. It never seems to be on sale anywhere, though.

Endless Obsession 04-10-2005 09:46 PM

How often does MX actually come in here?

Here as in the r&m forum and post.

I get it now.

I'm sounding like a broken record here, but I still just can't believe it. I've never seen her do something vicious and irresponsible. It's just not like her.

I can send you the album some time, but it may take a long time to send; there's a little more than 40 songs on the album. However, most of them run near a minute, so it may not take as long as expected.

:)

Illmatic 04-10-2005 09:48 PM

I mean, does she realize what it would be like if she really was pregnant? What it would mean, what kind of affect it would have on the people she was close to?

I asked her that, but I never really waited for an answer. I just said what I wanted to say and left.

Jom 04-10-2005 09:50 PM

Well, you handled it more admirably than I would have.

At least she won't make that mistake again.
