Is there anyway of seeing the Ludacris/Sum41 thing online?
I would also like to know..........really badly |
did anyone gets this months total gutair *(in europe) it has a lessons with dave
(on pc ) he shows you the riff and solo 4 the bitter end **** it hard it fast and hard to follow
my goodness you europeans are lucky, that sounds like pretty much one of the coolest things ever |
Daves first solo to Bitter End is easy if you hammer on/off. Second solo is tricky, but with some well learned techniques you can learn it in a day.
|
^^ Not that I'm saying the solo sucks. Anyone can play a really hard solo. The hard part is making a really hard but GOOD solo.
|
Anyways, the best part I like about Sum41 is how no one can classify them into a genre. Rockers thing sum is rock, punkers say their punk and metal heads deny they ever play metal. Thats so cool

I can't play a really hard solo, but I don't play guitar yet, I think that Dave did a really good job of making that a really hard but awesome solo |

yeah, that happens, they are now rock, and I haven't talked to too many punkers who said that they were punk, but I suppose that there are more than I am seeing HHOP - Pop-Punk AKNF - Pop-Punk DTLI? - Hardline (sort of a really heavy punk sound, as close as punk gets to metal) C - Rock |
Did anyone see that SNL with sum 41 and Luda. It was kinda cool.

I can play all of 1st solo in Bitter End exactly right, and half of the second solo. I'm still learning, and I can also play the entire song "Bitter End" + "88" (minus last last solo). Sum41 songs are relativley easy.
If you're a bassist, you'll find much more creativity with guitar, often the best rythm guitar players have bassist roots or genes because they know how to define the beat of a song. So go for it. Sum41=50%Metal/Rock30%/20%Rock to me |

On all accounts I've heard them say that their new album is Rock. And I don't see any way that it could be metal (but believe me, I would love it if they did some metal) |

Sum41=50%Metal/Rock30%/20%Rock to me
that's really cool about you and the solos. I can play The Hell Song and Makes No Difference, and I started to learn Welcome To Hell and No Reason and 88 but all of the tabs were so wrong that I couldn't save them. Sum41=100%Rock, it's true, they might have 1 song (The Bitter End) that represnts metal in their music, but that is it |
EVERYBODY!!!!!!!! You can download the Sum 41/Ludacris video in the video section of the media section of the site http://www.sumpieces.com :smoke: I am going to try and download it, but my internet is so slow it'll probably take me an hour and a half.

I didn't get to see the whole thing but I was coming in from work and my Dad was a sleep on the couch and I heard this music that kinda sounded like Sum but the lyrics were all gangsta. I was highly confused took me a minute to figure out what the hell was going on. It was preety cool though. |

mother flip, the more you guys talk about it the more I want to see it. AARRGH |
Downloading it now.
that's awesome, I'll probably go there when I get home from the school that I am currently at and I'll spend a couple hours downloading it. I hope that it is worth it because often I will download a video and the audio is the only thing that I end up with. I hate it when that happens |

then whats the bitter end or were all to blame is that not metal |
then whats the bitter end or were all to blame is that not metal
The Bitter End is almost getting there, but We're All To Blame has to be one of the most Rock songs that I've ever heard. |
If you don't want to take the time to download the Ludacris/Sum 41 video then you can right click on this link and hit "Save Target As..." and save it to a folder. I did and if I might say so the song would have been so much better if it had been Sum 41 alone. I didn't think that Ludacris's rapping was impressive at all, it was kinds half-assed in my opinion, but Sum 41's parts sounded really good.

Ya the Ludacris/Sum 41 on SNL was pretty awesome.
|
Ya the www.sumpieces.com website is probably the best fan site currently on the internet.
|
Holy crap that was most impressive to me. The solo that Dave did was sort of surpising considering it fell so good with the rap song. ****, collaberation between rap and rock was fine that day.
Btw, Ludacris was fine to me. |
Ya the Ludacris/Sum 41 on SNL was pretty awesome.
it was pretty good, but I think it would have been better if SNL had just invited Sum 41 to the stage and left ludacris out of it |
Ya the www.sumpieces.com website is probably the best fan site currently on the internet.
one of them, there is this other place called french41.com and it is an amazing site, but you have to be able to read french, I'm in french 2 right now, so I can read the majority of it all. |

Btw, Ludacris was fine to me.
he did okay, but there was a spot where his dj and he both got out of sync with the music and their beat was really off and they had to get back on track with Sum 41, it just seemed poorly planned, but it was still good |
