Oh, sorry about the Ozzy post, I just can't believe that that guy thinks Down To Earth is Ozzy's best album. Anyways, sorry to get things off track, continue. :)

Wheels Of Confusion from Vol 4!

^Good choice :thumb:

I quite like Neon Knights from Heaven and Hell, its a good fast opener and it shows that Sabbath can still make good music without Ozzy.

Who can beat Tony's cough for the start of an album.

Answer: not many people.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 12:17 PM

I was just thinking of something. In the beginning of Iron Man, when Ozzy goes "I am Irrrrooonnnn Maaan" is that his real voice or some kind of effect? (trying to start more convo)

Brew 11-14-2004 02:36 PM

My guess is an effect.

I have no idea what effect it would be though.

I didn't know they had effects back then

Brew 11-14-2004 04:40 PM

They had really basic effects, how would Geezer have got the Wah on the intro to N.I.B if they didn't have them?

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:41 PM

Brew 11-14-2004 04:43 PM

The bass solo before N.I.B, Geezer uses a wah/distortion effect.

So they had the basics back then - wah, distortion etc...

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:45 PM

Ah got it now. I'm kind of out of it today.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:45 PM

Can we keep talking so I can get to my fvcking 700th post?

Brew 11-14-2004 04:51 PM

Sure.

Erm...

Has anyone seen the Rob Halford shows from 1992? He messes up the start of Children of the Grave by beginning to sing too early, its pretty funny.

I will try to see it

ToRidTheDisease 11-14-2004 05:03 PM

What's with the triple post?

Brew 11-14-2004 05:08 PM

He's trying to get his 700th post.

Dude, just go to Other Music and post in the Now Playing thread a few times, works wonders.

I got the bootleg of Halford off Winmx, its really crappy picture but the sound isn't too bad.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 05:35 PM

700th post :chug:

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 05:35 PM

Ok back to the Sabbath talk now.

ToRidTheDisease 11-14-2004 05:44 PM

Any of you own Sabbath DVD's?

Brew 11-14-2004 06:08 PM

^Yes.

Story Vol.1
Last Supper
Never Say Die

All of them are great, The Last Supper is probably my favourite.

Dirty Women :naughty:

Blasphemy!(sp?)

Which Maiden dvd was it? I'm looking into buying the new one soon, The Early Years or something along those lines.

CamelCaps 11-15-2004 12:19 PM

No Sabs DVDs here, but if i wasnt a poor impoverished student.....

(Dont mean to bang on about Ozzy, but buzzard, the reason why i said D2E is the best is that its because it is the only one i have apart from Speak of the Devil, just to clear that up)

I got "Raising Hell". It's Bruce Dickinson's last tour when he left in '93. Kind of cheesy concert with the "Raising Hell" part, but fvcking awesome. I'm going to get "Rock in Rio" soon hopefully.
