Moe. is playing in Morantown and so is Gov't Mule, but I can't go to either :(
|
Anyone ever listen to the Dark Star Orchestra?
|
if anyone knows any scales used by trey in any songs for guitar id appreciate it. thanks
I know he uses the myxolydian and dorian modes a lot. He likes to play notes outside of the chords and chromatics alot. Honestly its hard to sound like trey because he doesn't stick to any particular scale, he just plays what feels right to him |
Any of you phish and claypool fans heard of Oysterhead? Im thinkin about buying the cd do you recommend it?

Have you seen them live before, for some reason I thought you did, I was gonna ask you who was with them on tour, I heard rumors of Derek Trucks. |

Haha me too at the Oakdale. :amaze: I'm from Hamden. Do you go to Toads much? In the past year they've had Medski Martin & Wood, Dark Star Orchestra, Shakedown, Soundtribe Sector 9, Marshall Tucker Band, and a bunch of other awesome jam bands. Some lesser known ones too. |
moe. on Friday. Giggety-giggety!

Were you there? |
Ah, I wish I could go to Bonnarroo. Oh well, there's always next year.
moe. was a ton of fun. Here's a small review of the concert I wrote up. http://pressuredrop.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=reviews&action=display&num=1108282661 |
Good review. I can't wait to go see them in twelve days. :thumb:
|
Dso
Most definately.
Also check around gdlive.com and nubs for some shows.
DSO is excellent, great cover band For full shows in shn and MP3, check out www.archive.org/audio Also, Rob Eaton's (DSO's Bob Weir) son has a band called Greyspoke Variety also on Archive.org, and they are truly excellent |
In fact, if you enjoy great trade-friendly artists such as max creek, pyschedelic breakfast, grateful dead, derek trucks band, Robert Randolph and the family band, DSO, moe, and many others, than Archive.org will feel like you've died and gone to heaven, full shows, with reviews, in mp3, ogg, shn, and flac formats.
