Some ELO would be great if anyone has any. Not tryin to bug anyone but also some Bob Segar, Rush, or any Tull for that matter would be welcomed in my inbox.

JonG 09-18-2005 07:55 PM
Whoever sent that Steve Miller Band album out a couple days ago is awesome!!! Anymore Steve Miller is graciously accepted.
You're welcome.

"Sailor" is my favorite album of his. Livin' In The Usa is a great track.

I sent out Sailor to Pink and DE. Hopefully you 2 can download it if it didn't exceed 25.

Hey all. I was gone for a couple days, so I missed some stuff. But, thanks for all the uploads. It's always nice to come back from a stressful weekend and find 30-some odd albums waiting in my email. Cheers.

Jam2Me 09-18-2005 08:05 PM
I haven't listened to that yet. Right now I'm busy listening to Lawn Boy. Great album. A lot better than Billy Breathes which is the only other Phish album I own.

Jam2Me, you're the big ELO fan right? I want to start getting into them, do you think I should get a greatest hits, or a studio album?
I'd go for a big greatest hits. Out of Blue is my favorite album..and as awesome as that is, it has some really weak spots. The hits on it are awesome, but the rest of it is too mellow. If you ever find Jeff Lynne's Armchair Theatre buy that (he's the brains behind ELO and Traveling WIlburys and tons of other awesome albums). I would upload it on YSI but every time I upload stuff people need licenses and crap, blagh.

magicbus 09-18-2005 08:08 PM

Thanks for Freewheelin' :thumb:

A few of the reasons I like Times is how it's only Dylan and his acoustic, the subject matter of the songs, and the way his voice sounds early in his career.

If Freewheelin' is anything like that, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I have Thick as a Brick on LP so any of the others are fine.

Glitterati 09-18-2005 08:21 PM

I wonder if Keith Richards is really gonna be in the new Pirates Of The Carribean. That'd be so cool.

Badmoon 09-18-2005 08:23 PM

Just got back from Farmaid.

Wilco owned all.

Glitterati 09-18-2005 08:24 PM

A movie soundtrack maybe? I don't think I've ever heard it on the radio, unless it was a real long time ago, but it seems fresh in my mind.

blue3 09-18-2005 08:47 PM

So I googled it.. http://www.themovieblog.com/archives/2005/09/keith_richards_unsure_for_pirates.html

I guess he may or may not be in movie..

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-18-2005 08:50 PM

I've heard of "Blowin' In The Wind" too!

But what could it be?!!?!

You know they say he wrote that in 10 min. WOW!!!

I'm not going to see ABB nor Buddy Guy but Paul, Santana and Robert Randolph are a go.

PinkFreud 09-18-2005 08:54 PM

boo. buddy guy was amazing, as were the allmans.

Badmoon 09-18-2005 08:56 PM
Yeah, Wilco, blah blah blah, HOW WAS NEIL?!?!?!
Pretty good; I was kind of messed up at that point.

And why would anyone care, hasn't everyone seen Neil already.

PinkFreud 09-18-2005 08:57 PM

i havent.

dr._feelgood 09-18-2005 08:59 PM

I haven't either. And I can't think of any of my friends who'd wanna go with me. :upset:

Illmatic 09-18-2005 09:00 PM

I have not.

magicbus 09-18-2005 09:03 PM

I haven't seen Neil.

Badmoon 09-18-2005 09:06 PM

Some highlights:

- Willie opens the show with the Lord's Prayer.

- Bowls are packed

- Arlo plays Alice's Restaurant and then leaves.

- Buddy Guy and John Mayer play some interesting stuff.

- Panic plays "Blue Indian" with some good Dave Schools slap.

- Los Lonely Boys play with Woody.

- Barack Obama introduces Wilco as a "home grown group" (Illinois natives), which I thought was pretty cool.

- Wilco own all.

- The drugs begin to take hold.

- Neil plays as well as expected; took awhile to get on stage though.

- Willie Nelson does not dissapoint.

sandman420 09-18-2005 09:08 PM

Can I get on the email list, yankee_jay420@yahoo.com.

Leper 09-18-2005 11:19 PM

I will die happily only if I see Neil live at least once.

Ephemeral 09-19-2005 08:56 AM

I would absolutly love to see Neil Young live.

It appears that the drugs took a little long to take hold...

That sounds like a hell of a show though, I wish I could have seen it. I haven't seen Neil either.

Leper 09-19-2005 01:25 PM

Evidently that was pretty bad assumption 'Moon. :)

robo2448 09-19-2005 01:44 PM

I'd like to see Neil. In other news...

...wait for it...

I'm seeing Cream :D :D :D :D

Edit- So I see nobody cares that I'm going to Cream :upset:
Blowin' In The Wind is in Forrest Gump, Jenny performs it. You may have heard it in that. As Illmatic said though, it's pretty popular, so you could have heard it anywhere.
