I have a thing for irish cider lately.

Pleaseme 11-26-2006 08:21 AM

Ladies, ladies!

Stella, Castlemaine and the like are not beers. They are horse piss.

Ale is the way forward, it's the best stuff when you're in a smokey, dingey pub with your mates.
Lager's ok if you're wanting to get hammered, or in a club or something. But then it's all about rum or vodka anyway.

Castlemaine is a lot better in Australia. Either it doesn't travel well, or the stuff they brew over here uder liscense is piss.

Come down here and try some real cider. Bit of ole **** scrumpy.

And pleaseme, you live in bournmouth right? If so, travel west along the coast to the devon bored, and come down into seaton. Then i'll take you to the Branscombe vale brewery. My friends dad owns it. They make some beautiful ale. Come down in the summer, and you can go to the beer festival they hold.

Im playing guitar in a king crimson cover band. \M/ Gonna practice with the guys today. Were starting out with Three of a perfect pair, and Dinosaur. As much as I hate covers, it's different when you are playing with "capable" musicians.

I need to get a decent amp >_>

Drum Phil 11-26-2006 08:32 AM

I got the bus into town on a saturday night
Made one wrong glance now im in a fight
I caught wide boy dumb fuck in the face
I caught wide boy dumb fuck in the face
I took a knuckle to the head now im falling all over the place

I took 1 to the head, 2 to the teeth
3 kick, 4 kick, now everyones a dick
I'll get one last swing then i'll hit the deck
One last swing then i'll hit the deck
I swear, one wrong glance now im just a fucking wreck

No more falling down
Well i hit the bottom and it felt alright
Im gonna hit the streets and get wrecked tonight
My names Dick, i drink rum
Who are you?

Well i had a little girl about 5'5"
The cutest little thing alive
I used to think i was in love
But i guess sometimes thats not enough
She said its me not you Richy, best you just took off

I took rum for the pain
2 for the same
3 rum, 4 rum i never been so lame well
I wish that i was dead i said
I wish that i was dead
Well he was talking in his sleep
And he was sleeping in the drain

No more falling down
Well i hit the bottom and it felt alright
Im gonna hit the streets and get wrecked tonight
My names Dick, i drink rum
Who are you?

Im not gonna spend all my life knocked down
No more down

No more falling down
Well i hit the bottom and it felt alright
Im gonna hit the streets and get wrecked tonight
My names Dick, i drink rum
Who are you?

My names Dick, i drink rum
Who are you?
My names Rich, i drink rum
Who are you?
You, sir, are a genius. Cider pwns.
Brothers strawberry cider is rather nice.

Pleaseme 11-26-2006 08:35 AM

Ah man, that sounds quality! If there's a chance I can do that, then I'll take you up on it! Ever heard of Palmers brewery? You probably should have done. The 'Real Ale Society' at the nui went on a tour of their brewery on friday, it was great! Nicest ales ever. They do have tenants down in Devon apparently.

Edit: to Maniac

The oldest trick in the book ey :p

Bono is at a U2 concert in Ireland when he asks the audience for some
quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands.

Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone...
"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

.... A voice from near the front of the audience pierces the
silence..."Fookin stop doing it then!

Josiah 11-26-2006 08:43 AM

wahahahha brilliant!!

Pleaseme 11-26-2006 08:52 AM

Drum Phil 11-26-2006 09:39 AM

Palmer is horrible stuff. I have one of their beer kegs, and i use it as part of my drum kit, but you're not meant to know that. SHHHHH!

If i'm right, the beer fest is at the end of july/beginning of august.

Corkofski 11-26-2006 10:14 AM

i jhavent put my keg on my drum kit in ages...

raz0r 11-26-2006 10:36 AM

I'm going to see Iron Maiden tomorrow.

I'm not all that excited about it though :/

Oh well. The 14,500 strong pit should prove fun.

There album isnt widely available unfortunately.

I can try and YSI it if you really want.

SD aint bad, got a couple of there albums.

maniac0796 11-26-2006 10:54 AM

Hmm. After listening to it, i've decided there is one good song off the new maiden album, and that's "for the greater good of god" and it only gets good around 5 minutes

Loser 11-26-2006 11:07 AM

Anyone here into martial arts? I'm thinking of learning Aikido, though the nearest place for that isn't exactly close.

We_Love_Lime 11-26-2006 11:12 AM

I wanna learn martial arts.
Actually I just want to learn to kick whoevers *** whenever they call me a sand nigge.

Loser 11-26-2006 11:14 AM

If you want to do that, just buy a gun or something.

We_Love_Lime 11-26-2006 11:15 AM

hmm
1) don't wanna waste my life in jail
2) don't wanna fit the arab stereotype.

Loser 11-26-2006 11:19 AM

A gun that shoots fists or baseball bats, perhaps.

We_Love_Lime 11-26-2006 11:19 AM

That's a good idea.
I should invest in one of those.

raz0r 11-26-2006 11:29 AM

I actually like the opening track, but the rest of the album does sound a bit samey.

_Wrathchild_ 11-26-2006 12:46 PM

Today my friend asked me to sing for his band :-o

They have a show in a few weeks at which they are playing sort of "rockified" christmas carols and they want me to sing for them. It's totally not anything major at all, but its still cool. I always secretly wanted to sing for a band.

Pleaseme 11-26-2006 12:49 PM

Same here actually. Don't tell anyone though.

>_>

Good luck with it, have you sung before?

Dave*Grohl 11-26-2006 12:52 PM

I still need sex and I'm on the verge of calling my ex gf and going over to her place to satisfy our needs. damn.

Drum Phil 11-26-2006 12:53 PM

I want to play double bass.

So i can do this:

Yeah I've sung in choirs, groups, duets, and all that stuff, but not much solo stuff, and not with a rock band.

I used to be terrified of singing in front of people though, which definitely was a factor that kept me from taking any solos or pursuing singing with a band. I've almost gotten over that now though.

Edit: Dave Grohl - Noooo don't do it

Phil - Yes, get one

Dave*Grohl 11-26-2006 01:01 PM

Thanks wrathchild I will not do it. It would only get me in trouble with her again. I'll just have to play with myself alone.
