how did reading this thread help you come to that conclusion? wouldn't just listening to the band be enough to form an opinion about them?

depends on the song, some are actually pretty damn good

I've come to really like VoM, despite their obv flaws. And the only DC bands I like are them, Animosity, and Glass Casket.

Nate's vocals are decent, a bit too monotone though.

Yeah old stuff is amazing.

Bought the new VoM this weekend. I'm really impressed, it doesn't sound as mechanical as CMC, and I actually think that the synths add an interesting layer to the music. Here and there I hear a part that reminds me of a Conducting From the Grave riff lol. Its probably an 8.5/10 for me.

Got into this band pretty heavily about 6 months ago. Somewhat bland, but fairly enjoyable.

Murder the Frail, and Ennui Breathes Malice are both particularly excellent in my book though.

The synth parts ruin it imo, they all sound the same.

And Brandon's highs sound so strained, mad disappoint.

The Synth parts are a excuse to extend the breakdown and chugging.
