I downloaded the cd when I heard that a guy formerly of BTBAM was playing guitar for them and I was pleasantly suprised. It has a little bit of Norma Jeanesque riffs in there, which is ok with me. They aren't too generic but not wierd or avantgarde either. I guess one way to say it is that they don't do the whole palm muted chugging thing all the time like most metalcore bands. I'm probably seeing them next month, cause they are coming here twice.

I missed my chance to see them. I was so pissed. They're pretty good. They have some catchy songs and they aren't the normal metalcore formula. They stand out from most metalcore bands in my opinion.

And they love Jesus! :thumb:

They're a lot like Let's Fighting (probably because that's their new name)... but seriously, I guess I'd say they're generic melodic death influenced metalcore with "emo" clean choruses, but they pull it off really well.

I don't know much about modern trendy music but I tried listening to a few songs and it didn't sound very musical to me, I think they suck.

You probably listened to their EP, it sucks for the most part. Check out Count Your Blessings, they actually learned to play their instruments.

What's wrong with Haste The Day? I realize they may not be the greatest metalcore band out there, but they got me into metalcore, so I have to be loyal to the band that got me started with this kind of stuff.

Well first of all P.O.D. isn't really metal. And HTD actually got me into the genre that I love. So I'm loyal to them. As well as the fact that I still really like them. Whether you still like P.O.D. or not is your problem.

I'm kidding with you, I'm not that much into haste the day though, or P.O.D., (their latest release SUCKED)... But I guess they've done som decent songs, as have P.O.D. :P

Yah I guess. I haven't listened to anything from P.O.D. since like their second release. But I still love HTD. I just wish they had Jimmy Ryan back.
