i have one question:
do opeth-concerts sold out fast?
I don't think so. They had on their website that the Virginia show sold-out, so I assume any others would be posted there as well.

ArcLite 10-06-2005 03:01 PM

Bought my tickets yesterday for the Myrtle Beach House of Blues show. I can't fucking wait.

Deth 10-06-2005 03:03 PM

When's the show?

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-06-2005 03:06 PM

Oct 30 in Worcestor, biatches! I think they're with Nevermore, but I really want to see Pelican. I love their stuff.
When's the show?
Wednesday, Nov 9th.

Deth 10-06-2005 03:09 PM

Yeah, it seems everyone wants the other opening band. Me included.

I listened To "The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw" twice today. I'm in love with that album.

EDIT: You're going to the show two days before me.

Stupid mods. What's taking them so long.

NP: Pelican - Red Ran Amber
That was shuffle as well

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-06-2005 04:00 PM

Do you guys think that The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw is better than Australasia?

NP: Pelican - gw

Deth 10-06-2005 04:03 PM

I've only heard two songs of Australasia. They were up to the standards of Thaw though.

Killtacular 10-06-2005 04:04 PM

I haven't heard any of Australasia, so I cannot say.

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-06-2005 04:06 PM

Scruples or Creeping Death: I'll trade you Australasia for Thaw.

12 Funking 3

So I walked into a nightclub called "The Garage" last night in Glasgow and they have these screens that advertise Gigs and the like, and the first thing I saw was "Opeth 28 November - The Garage"...I have to say I creamed myself. Didn't even realise they came to Scotland. So tickets will be bought!

Cool. Have fun there.

Shattered_Future 10-07-2005 06:19 PM

I wonder how long it would take to get to Toronto from NYC, give or take about 30 miles (maybe more...im bad with measurements).

The ONE show remotely near me is 18+!!!!

(Yes, I realize that I've said this MANY times already, but it's so goddam dissapointing... :upset: )

Has anyone heard of Opeth's other support band, Into Eternity? Amazing band...

You're making me feel bad. :upset:

Deth 10-07-2005 06:26 PM

What kind of metal is Into Eternity? I haven't heard anything from them and they're playing my show.

Daven 10-07-2005 06:31 PM

I can send you some uploads if you want, since im also sending a sampler someone requested in the YSI thread.

I only need you email to send it.

Sweet. Thanks a lot.

Shattered_Future 10-07-2005 07:30 PM

I was blown away (and even MORE disappointed on what i was missing out) when i first heard Into Eternity.

They are one of the most original bands I've heard in a while...excellent everything. Not a flaw within the band.

Pick up Buried In Oblivion when you get the chance...it will completely change your perspective on music forever.

Daven 10-07-2005 07:33 PM

Buried in Oblivion, IMO, is their best cd so far although Dead Or Dreaming is quite good also. They are really an excellent band, the way they use high and low pitched vocals is what I like the. The guitar and the bass work is also fantastic.

Deth 10-07-2005 07:43 PM

I'm listening to the first song now. It's pretty good. I'll get the other two and I may pick up the album.

RouteOne 10-07-2005 07:45 PM

Going to see Opeth and Nevermore on November 2nd!!!!!

First Opeth show ever. :D

ATC 10-07-2005 07:51 PM

Anyone else expecting to see Pelican at the Opeth show in Vancouver, don't hold your breath. Pelican have dropped out. Local band the S.t.r.e.e.t.s are playing instead. In other good news, Opeth will be doing an instore at Scrape records on Broadway.

Txus 10-07-2005 07:55 PM

^^ When?!

ATC 10-07-2005 08:06 PM

7:00 pm, the 14th, right before the show at the Commodore.
I was in there today to buy me tickets and they said Opeth would be doing a signing and if I were not so bloody stoic, I would have screamed like a little boy. Needless to say, I said 'Right on. I knew all about it' and that's when they said Crytopsy's coming the week after that. Didn't say much to that but yes, there is no point to this story.

Txus 10-07-2005 08:10 PM

^^ Amazing man because i'm goign to that Gig also!! :D

ATC 10-07-2005 08:17 PM

Cool. I shall see you at Scrape then. I'll probably be the guy in the Nevermore T-shirt and the braided beard (getting that done over the weekend or so I plan).

Futuro 10-07-2005 08:22 PM

I have been thinking of which florida show to see of opeth.

Never heard nevermore (dont even know if they will be openingfor opeth in florida)

Semi trashy post^

Ok so i'll see you there, i've be the dude with teh Opeth shirt  and a Tool Bennie. :D

Permanent Solution 10-07-2005 08:23 PM

I feel I should mention I picked up Damnation the other day, and it's easily the best thing I've heard by this band. They should quit metal and stick to acoustic.
