That wouldn't be fair now, wouldn't it?

Mankind_ 09-11-2004 05:49 PM

lol. dammit. i always get the 9's

MalcolmYoungRock 09-11-2004 05:51 PM

Ok fine, throw sabbath in there instead of a clapton.

Mankind_ 09-11-2004 05:52 PM

what about the other clapton. leave him and cream in?

slowhand 09-11-2004 05:52 PM

Great.

I know there's someone missing, but I can't think of who that is or who they are...

Well, Cream and Clapton are two different musical entities. Jack Bruce was the one who sang and co-wrote most of the songs in Cream, Clapton had more freedom to do what he wanted in his musical career without consulting two other band members.

I'd say bounce those picks.

Mankind_ 09-11-2004 06:15 PM

we still gotta decide if the Guess Who should be in there somewhere. i say yes. best band that isn't in the hall of fame and should be

BludgeonySteve 09-11-2004 06:16 PM

Fine, but please find 7 bands that are better than those ones.

Creedence Clearwater 09-11-2004 06:18 PM

Bob Dylan and John Fogerty are there so I am happy.

Mankind_ 09-11-2004 06:20 PM

Joe Cocker, The Guess Who, Moody Blues, Black Sabbath all should be on the list

Badmoon 09-11-2004 06:23 PM

Well, I'm not they're bad, they're just controversial picks. Most won't realize Gov't Mule is pretty much Classic Rock, and most won't know the others. But you can keep Healey there, cause it's your thread idea.

Jefferson Airplane
Van Morrison
The Hollies
Jeff Beck
Frank Zappa
The Byrds
The MC5

and The Velvet Underground

lol. i was just checking out some other threads

Creedence Clearwater 09-11-2004 06:52 PM

It alive, thats means I only maimed it, yah...

Against Miik! 09-11-2004 06:53 PM

Kiss should never be on any list that ranks something good. They were one of the first bands that proved you don't need talent to become famous in the music industry. They were just great businessmen who dressed up for halloween a lot.

no worries, kiss is flushed down the toilet.

thickasabrick 09-11-2004 06:56 PM

ya i think kiss is one of the few bands that have absolutely no artistic integrity. they are sleazy sellouts who havent had a number one hit because they dont know how to write a real song. they just try to write cheap party songs that someone might think is "cool" when they first hear it. gene simmons even admits he would do anything for money.

man im rambling on...i just dont like kiss.

Creedence Clearwater 09-11-2004 06:58 PM

Simmons would do anything for money, does that includes spending decades dress like an idiot.

jpj 09-11-2004 07:01 PM

yes it does

Badmoon 09-11-2004 07:16 PM

Hey, look what you're turning this thread into. A HATE THREAD!!!!!

Spectrum 09-11-2004 07:19 PM

Hey, man. Don't be hatin'.

Really, I got yelled at earlier for being negative. So this new guy (only 4 posts) didn't take the time to go all the way back to the beginning of a 6000 post thread to realize that this has been done all the time here. I've done things like that before, even in this thread. Take it easy on the n00bs... you were one too, remember?

EDIT: If someone's being really, really dumb, then things can happen. Simple mistake, just let it slide.

Badmoon 09-11-2004 07:24 PM

Plus, the portion of you guys, and myself workship icons and musicians who sing about peace, love, ect...

Broken Arrow 09-11-2004 07:29 PM

I don't hate anybody

*passes out because of ecsessive alcohol abuse*
