that may be. but I have a lot of awesome music, so I don't really actively seek out bands. especially not bands that haven't made a good impression. I get a lot of albums via email and in my post box, so I don't need to find new bands any more. if I seek out a band, it's usually one that hasn't been active for several years.

I don't see why you would limit your horizons based on that. I always try to broaden my horizons as both a musician and an avid music listener.
