Distorted Vision 11-06-2005 07:01 AM

Hard to come up with a top ten, but this is what it probably would be:

A Change Of Seasons
Trial Of Tears
Hell's Kitchen
Octavarium
Learning To Live
About To Crash
Metropolis Pt 1
Overture 1928
Lie
Hollow Years

But it's strange, my two favourite DT albums (Awake and SDOIT) have hardly any in that list, because the songs work much better as part of the album.

Triangle 11-06-2005 07:40 AM

Learning To Live
A Change Of Seasons
Scarred
Lines In The Sand
The Glass Prison

They're my top5. I wouldn't be able to do a 10.

It has changing time sigs according to powertabs, 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, 7/8, 5/4, 5/8 are all used. Dunno if that helps.
Yeah, same thing with Take The Time. All hail to the power of MTV.
Did MTV actually play the songs?

My first DT album was Images and words... had never heard DT before and bought it on a whim...It completely blew me away...

BlindWriting 11-06-2005 01:11 PM

First was ToT. Then Awake. I'm planning on picking up SDOIT next.

Deconstruction 11-06-2005 01:13 PM

Mine was I&W. A friend let me listen to it one nightand I fell in love with it.

the2stranger 11-06-2005 01:16 PM

I had ACOS on my pc for years.
but not untill my ex GF mentioned them, I started lieking them like crazy.

Lord of Sword 11-06-2005 01:30 PM

i found a couple of clips on progarchives.com, and decided to get the album everyone says is their best - I&W. considering my favourite band at the time was Maiden and i only listened to metal, it took a while to get into, especially with the keyboards and as it's one of their most progressive records. but now it's probably my favourite next to awake.

Your ex-GF is a DT fan? Cool. Hardly any girls seem to like DT.

Darkness 11-06-2005 02:32 PM

My first was Train Of Thought, which I really liked. Then 6 Degrees, which I loved the first cd, but the second kinda sucked... then Awake, which is my favorite. :)

IbanezSamurai 11-06-2005 03:05 PM

I starting to really like falling into infinity. I dont understand why people claim it to be their worst record.
