Ouch. I turned 16 in June, and i'm already finished school. I start college in September.
That's very young for college, if college means the same thing there. Take a break and have some fun before higher education man... |
nah jos, college over here starts at 16 ends at 18 (broadly speaking), what you guys call college/university we chiefly just call university
christ thats a horrible sentence |
15-16 years old - GCSE's in school (compulsory)

So he's as good as those other guys right?! Haha just playin. Alan's a fantastic educator!
|
Hmmm... not bad. A little cartoony for my tastes but it looks pretty cool. Good job.
We should form a punk band called the Black Hand and we should go out and assassinate the band Franz Ferdinand. I thought it was funny.
Nobody laughed? |
Because nobody remembers crap from 10th grade Global.
Except me. They called him Francis Ferdinand in our book. |
I just got out of tenth grade.
Wow, a lot of posts in the WFD thread. |
I aced that course.
Well, I was only in the 70's for my course grade because I refused to do homework. I got a 98 or something on the regents exam, though. Edit: I need one more song to complete Lunasa's Se album, but it's staying remotely queued. I got all of the other songs off the same person, and it's track 7. It just skipped over that one and downloaded them all. =/ |
Anyone Listen to From Autumn To Ashes?
Great band. Milligram Smile is insane. |
What the hell is a regent's exam?
|

Oh Yes!!! I'm listening to Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare again. Oh man, world's friggin greatest album. Ever. Ever.
|
There are no words to explain my mind as I sit and stare upon inanimate life but they dont look back they just mind their own free from self conscious worry free from nerves crossing confusion with past experience free from the false just true and pure and motionless organic shapes cradle light and water and ignore restraints and still they mind their own they watch as blurred visions of speeding metal flutter past and still inanimate they do nothing as the sound overcomes them and they shudder to one another as tiny pieces of themselves fall in an attempt to generate new life away from the molten black smoke they choke on reality of dreams kept waiting to emerge from the cracks in their thoughts.
I wrote that earlier this year. |
Anyone Listen to From Autumn To Ashes?
Great band. Milligram Smile is insane.
2 years ago. My textbooks always called him "Archduke Ferdinand". It only said his first name once, when it first introduced him. Edit: That's a nice little "poem". I'm guessing you wrote it intentionally like that, with no punctuation. I do that from time to time. I think some punctuation would help this one out a bit though. |
Aww great...
My mom just like broke her leg.. |

Nah, Frank Zappa's overnite sensation is the best album ever. |

I did that because I wanted to look at a random object - in this case, a tree - and put down the first thing that came to mind without thinking about it. Some times the phrases run into eachother because the first word of a new phrase/idea is also the last word of the preceding phrase/idea. :) |
just spent $500 on new heads and double pedal (Janus Ergo) yesterday.
turns out Janus is going to be discontinued and be renamed to Mapex. i hope they still have the hat stand in stock. they very...very...few janus items left at the main warehouse. |
Better hurry up and get one then.
|
Most likely theyre sold out of everything. I got the near last single-->double conversion.
Theres still some chance they still have a stand there, and if so...its mine. |
I have been to five different record shops, and not one of them has any Stanton Moore. The latest was the new huge FYE that replaced the old media play. It's terrible in there.
The jazz section was 90% compilation albums and cheap remasters. I ended up getting Crazyhorse Mongoose. =/ I always end up getting Galactic albums when I can't ever find what I want. Gr. Edit: Hmm...the biography of the guy I *might* get lessons from. "Kris has won awards for most outstanding musician in both Wind Ensemble and Stage Band, and Outstanding Section Leader in Wind Ensemble. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in 1979 from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY - where he received a scholarship award for Outstanding Jazz Drummer after his freshman year. His musical history has included playing in the pit orchestra at Radio City Music Hall in NY City, The Ice Capades, The Blackstone Magic Show, a substitute player in the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the musical "Ain't Misbehavin". Kris currently enjoys playing with several local musical organizations, including: The Amherst Chamber Ensembles, The Buffalo Silver Band, The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas and the Amherst Symphony. He has also played locally with the Erie County Wind Ensemble, the Niagara Falls Symphony, the Clarence Summer Orchestra, the Cheektowaga Symphony and the Hamburg Town Band. Kris teaches percussion lessons to students of all levels of playing ability, and covers all types of percussion including mallet percussion (marimba, xylophone & tympani), drum set in all styles, concert band and orchestral percussion, as well as preparation for NYSSMA All County / State competitions." |

I'd try $300 obo. You might sell it.
If you got EVERYTHING for $400... I'd think you might get $200 for just the shells... $250 if you're lucky. |
what kind of kit is it?
|
