Yeah. Unless the log is broken, there's been no mod activity in here since the 17th.

Whose postcount were you looking at earlier?

Wow. I may be a mod n00b, but that's weird.

Odd....

Bartender 11-20-2005 07:35 PM

Well all it means is that there's someone with lots of posts in here, who doesn't like having lots of posts in here/is embarrassed by having lots of posts in here/has become slightly unbalanced/etc, and is deleting their old posts.

I recall Ali wanting to maintain a certain post-count, but I don't think he's online, is he?

Bartender 11-20-2005 07:37 PM

No he isn't, though my first bet would have been him too. I did notice another long-time poster who posted a couple of things back when we were talking about shaving, and then deleted them. Maybe they went on to delete more.

Vince (and, admittedly, I) did this quite often.

However, now that postcount affects rep, I don't delete posts as often anymore. I just make sure that I'm not breaking any rules.

I have a feeling that Bartender and I are tracking on who the mystery person is. But no matter, it's just the Internets, heh.
Hey, does anyone in here know if you can eat potatos raw?
I've done it before. Be warned that they don't taste that great.
/post
I've been meaning to ask you something, but I can never hunt you down. Hopefully you stick around and answer.

I was over at The Red Paintings' site trying to find lyrics for the Walls EP, and I was reading up on their bio (because I was shocked to read that Walls EP was a mid-to-high numbered release from them). Is it true that they have parrots and other animals onstage when they perform? What is the stage like to begin with? And how do they sound live?

Thanks for taking the time (if you see this, that is).

I guess so.

You can do it without dying, if that's what you mean. There's nothing to it to really recommend it, though.

Arrakakaka 11-20-2005 07:46 PM

That would taste awful.

I won't be in the position to have balsamic vinegar on hand.

edit - maybe I'll just find somewhere to boil them....if they are going to taste so horrible.

Bartender 11-20-2005 07:49 PM

Well you may as well try it. They might just taste really good to you.

They have animals, and paintings creating modern art, and strange and wonderful costumes.

Ummm.. no parrots or any other animals to my knowledge... they have a lot of toys and figurines set up around the place, sitting on amps etc, they even have a big alien and a virgin mary statue. They usually have a projector with strange videos as well, but they didn't the other night. At some shows they make special backdrops for whatever theme they feel like doing, but that's rare.

Their live sound... they like to get loud, the string section is usually controlled as they are classically trained and more perfectionistic. They singer/guitarist is the opposite, he gets really animated and expressionful, but then he's too "indie" and raw to sound like he does on cd. Drums and bass.. don't get noticed much by me, the previous drummer was pretty good though.

Oh yeah, there's a couple of people to paint on canvas/eachother while the band plays. It's usually creepy things they do.
