You mean when theyre under-ripe?

I hate em like that, far too sour.

voiceless one 01-11-2005 01:19 PM

I only like banana's when they are really yellow and soft, but not bruised! :)

Russ

Fernandes Power 01-11-2005 01:21 PM

Ditto... not too soft though.

What kind of metal do you like?

(Everyone else answer too :D)

Russ

voiceless one 01-11-2005 01:26 PM

What other metal do I like? Maiden, Maiden, Maiden are my big 3 :) Then AC/DC, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy (none of these are really metal but more classic rock) metal yeah? Avenged Sevenfold are the only good metal band going at the moment and I will love them FOREVER! :) They really are amazing folks.

Hey Fernades rememeber the other day when I was asking about different types of wood, I took your advice in building a bass out of mahogany. I finished the body today. It looks awsome

It will be an amazing night, then Velvet Revolver the next weekend and I think Green Day is the following weekend, then NFG, Good Charlotte (the ticket was free so it is ok to go! :)) Fall Out Boy (the.best.band.here.in.march) and then loads of smaller gigs and my band playing. Awesome dude! Another Fall Out Boy fan! :) I will rep you as soon as I have "spreaded some rep about before I can rep jamesr again" :)

Let's try a newer lyric that is a lot more closer to my heart. I will just sing the first few lines of the song:

"I can not leave here, I can not stay. Forever haunted, more than afraid. Asphyxiated on words I can say. I turn to a black and skies are turned blue."

The words actually make me shiver and kinda tear up! Oh the memories...........

Russ

newbieX 01-11-2005 01:48 PM

i love afi. :D

Mitchell Royce 01-11-2005 01:50 PM

Meh, ATDI were better :D

voiceless one 01-11-2005 01:52 PM

At The Drive In were never better than AFI! Totally different and no where near as emotional, clever, structured, important, touching, fantastically amazing than the genious of AFI. (I really will defend AFI to ANYONE until my grave.) They are 1000 times better than ATDI ever were though.

Not too shabby, shoes. Definitly not my style but that looks like it took some skill to carve. Lemme guess, you're a fan of Warwick Vampires.

Fernandes Power 01-11-2005 02:02 PM

Did you do it yourself or just order it?

voiceless one 01-11-2005 02:03 PM

That is a cool body dude, and you carved that all yourself? It is very symetrical.....in a non symetrical kinda way! :S I know what I mean. It is really nice. You have a colour for it yet?

Russ

smellslikeshoes 01-11-2005 02:03 PM

Dunno never played one just seen a picture of a bass on the net. I liked the look of it so i built it. Is that what a Vampire looks like ? I have never seen one

newbieX 01-11-2005 02:05 PM

that is sahweeeeeeet. you got a colour in mind?

smellslikeshoes 01-11-2005 02:06 PM

It took me ages and ages and ages to mark it out so it would look right and symetrical the routing and sawing and stuff didnt take that long once I got the marking the way I wanted. And I used a SERIOUS amount of sandpaper to get it looking right

smellslikeshoes 01-11-2005 02:09 PM

I was thinking about black but It seems a shame to colour such nice wood although that picture is awful it is really beutiful wood

Wow im finally over 100 posts and it only took me 7 months woohooo

Mitchell Royce 01-11-2005 02:11 PM

Go with a subtle sunburst or just give it a fuzzy black burst around the edges. That will look really good with Mahogany.

smellslikeshoes 01-11-2005 02:13 PM

wow i never even realised i just seen a cool picture of one on the net and i though it looked good so id have a go at building one its not exactly the same the edges are a little different. But still wow now i can pretend i have a warwick

ShelBel 01-11-2005 02:23 PM

GAWD I'm bored. Nice body, BTW, SLS. ;) I MEAN THE BASS. I like Mahogany, its such a pretty wood...
