But yeah more people should rep me and less people should rep Axe :p .

I think that Jom has the most rep in reality.

Does anyone know exactly how the rep system works? The first time around, it was real simple, but now it's all complicated and such.

Psh, I think in the good old days I had some totally ridiculous amount like 25000 :-\

What a great (but flawed) system it was.

Shadows 11-20-2005 05:37 PM

What's complicated about the new system?

I think that may be true. I need to get in the habit of repping more mods.

I think Jom has a hack that allows him to just rep himself over and over. :p

I know, but I had more. All the rep whoring and rep-centred discussion and rep-parties and such that went with it can go to hell, but I want my 30,000-something rep back.

Jom had the most rep last time around as well. He overtook Zakath like, the day the system was abolished.

NP Dio - Stand Up And Shout
Haha, wow...that's ridiculous. I just remember how high I was on the list hehe. Didn't realize there was such a discrepancy among those at the top though. I've had to work so hard to get back on teh first page :( But yes, the overt whoring and parties is good to be gone.

And yeah Jelle/Bartender, I agree mods don't get as much recgnition, but I think part of it it that it's easy to rep a person when they make some reat thread or post or whatever, whereas you can't really rep a mod on one specific post for what they do. You have to be looking for the person to rep rather than a post.

EDIT: Cain: Sweet, look forward to seeing your lists :p

Hey guys, I just got back from a one day ban. Any interesting threads while I was gone?

56k ftw!

Cain 11-20-2005 05:46 PM

I think the reason I don't rep mods is because I take the fact that they already have rep for granted. When the system was implemented, we were utterly dependent on the mods to get stars back. So now I'm just like "well, he's got one more star than me, he doesn't need to be repped by me. He needs to rep me instead. :p"

I see now that this view of the MX world is flawed.
I think Jom has a hack that allows him to just rep himself over and over. :p
Cool suggestion. I will neither confirm nor deny this claim.

However, I will say that I wish I had all the rep points I had the first time around, because I could give anyone stars at the drop of a hat (or neg him/her for a significant amount).
