goddamn this is bad
pimp c already used the free falling sample too, wtf, koopa should know better |
****'s amazing
goddamn what a terrible song. the free fallin sample is just ****ing cheesy
For how amazing Ultimate Victory was, I can't believe he'd resort to this type of ****. Almost as bad as a guy named Chamillionaire not knowing what a dollar sign looks like ("Always been about those horizontal lines through them 'S's / that's a dollar sign, Impala flying, watch how she undresses"). Oh well.
Black Milk apparently got into some Beatminerz. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1icaOur7zA. |

holy **** royce |
reminds me of the Jay-Z line about the sun revolving around the earth, or the Redman line about how every song of his is 5 mics, so an album of 12 songs is 36 mics
lol just found this for more hip-hop faux-pas
http://www.epinions.com/content_4610039940 |
there's also the Canibus line "i can double my density from three-sixty degrees to seven-twenty instantly"
he does a great job at pretending to be intelligent but ****ing it up |
Density measured in degrees? Canibus you broke my heart.
wow lol
well he didn't state degrees specifically; he could actually mean kg/m^3
kingsoby do you like first avenue? that would be a close knit show for hip-hop
anyone checked out charli 2na's latest? (The deep voice guy from J5). It's pretty dope.
everyone has something they hate about hip-hop, and for me it's J5.
yeah niobium, first ave is a tight venue. they have this really gay hipster dance night, but otherwise it's cool. |
there are a few things i hate about hip hop, but J5 is definitely up there
J5: the soft rock of hip hop.
lol haiku d'etat
****in quasimoto
i like some haiku though it's just ridiculous if you've heard it
pretty funny |
ya it's super fast and just novelty
So what are the actual good tracks on Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 so I don't have to sift through all the **** they felt the need to put on there? What a disappointing album.
i don't know what to tell you? probably pick some songs by producer

i really like new wu, kiss the ring, the two dre songs, ason jones, black mozart, and house of flying daggers. the others blend into each other a bit but thats not a bad thing |
i basically like all of them =/
yep the whole record is pretty sick

10 bricks is the only one i've really come back to often, even if i've heard the beat a thousand times from the jaylib album. |
Cold Outside is a sick track.
Black Mozart is my favorite.
The whole album is amzing. |
Yeah album really rules. Meth's appearances on the album are so so good.

I saw him live this summer with a bunch of other people. He was ok but nothing about his act made me think "after this I'm going to actively seek out his music". The only Jurassic 5 song I ever really liked was What's Golden. |

Jurassic 5 is awesome. New KRS-One/Buckshot is awesome. |

best eighties albums to check out?
all i really have is NWA and Boogie Down Productions |
will look at some of those
any recs that dont involve Run DMC ? |
de la soul - 3 feet high and rising
de la soul is getting heavily into backpacker territory but i deeply enjoyed an immortal technique song the other day so i might humor you
de la soul influenced backpack rap but they're definitely not backpacker. they predate all that bullshit. they were just a few weird dudes who liked cool beats
i was at my friends house and he listens to rock and shi and had put on Dance with the Devil
after i was like this is kinda deep bro who that is and he's like thats immortal technique i was like **** i got tricked this ever happen to you |
he's a pretty solid rapper in terms of his internal rhymes and w/e, he just has really stupid lyrics that people think are incredible because they make absurd claims about the government and conspiracy theories
