Sorry man my computer is too slow for that I really wish I could upload it.

BigTrav415 02-05-2006 10:45 PM
Thats a sweet idea. I never thought of that one.
We would get so many idiotic emo kids in here...

I remember doing this for the Pink Floyd thread, of course we didn't pick my awesome suggestion (One Of These Threads Is Going To Cut You Into Little Pieces), but let's see if I've still got it.

I think the best already suggested one is Happiness Is A Warm Thread, but...

*drumroll*

Uh yeah, I think we should keep it the way it is..
Tomorrow Never Knows is so awsome, I have a version of Hendrix doing it with Jim Morrison and Johnny Winter, though I can't remember if Morrison does anything on that song but it still pwns.
That's a good song. Where did you get that version from?

magicbus 02-06-2006 08:25 AM

It's from a Rare Hendrix Tracks disc. I don't really like it, too messy.

Broken Arrow 02-06-2006 08:31 AM

Did I send that out?

I like, it's really short but pretty cool. All Morrison does is yell in the back ground.

Yea you did. I just listened to it again and it's not as bad as I thought. I must have been thinking of another song they played.

TheGoat 02-06-2006 11:31 AM

"With The Beatles Thread". Yah i like that album. =\

My god...I've just heard two amazing songs by Harrison! Be Here Now (http://www.youtube.com/w/%22Be-Here-Now%22--George-Harrison-Tribute-video?v=uLE3n5-LRJ4&search=George%20Harrison) and This Is Love. They are both incredible...can someone tell me which albums they are from? Im guessing Be Here Now may be on..All Things Must Pass..and This Is Love on...Cloud Nine?

BigTrav415 02-06-2006 05:36 PM

Be Here Now isn't on ATMP, I know that. I'll watch them later.

Jacaranda 02-06-2006 05:40 PM

This is Love is on Cloud Nine and Be Here Now is on Living in the Material World.

El_Goodo 02-06-2006 05:43 PM
This is Love is on Cloud Nine and Be Here Now is on Living in the Material World.
Woo 1 outta 2 it was good for me having no clue.

But This is Love sounded like it was definetley made near I Got My Mind Set On You. And Be Here Now could pass for a ATMP song I think. Does anyone else love Be Here Now..good song.

Jacaranda 02-06-2006 05:47 PM

Speaking of "I Got My Mind... etc" its my favorite solo Beatle song right behind I "Don't Come Easy"/"Working Class Hero". Great song. "Be Here Now" is a good song.

El_Goodo 02-06-2006 05:48 PM

I'm probably gonna get ATMP or Cloud Nine ordered in from HMV.

El_Goodo 02-06-2006 05:58 PM

Youtube is magical! I just found this video http://www.youtube.com/w/Prince-at-the-George-Harrison-R%27n%27R-Hall-of-Fame-induction?v=7nOtQzPCqvE&search=Wilburys

Prince and some members of the travelling willbury's playing While My Guitar Gently Weeps at the 2004 rock and roll hall of fame inductions.

Prince shreds like a mad man on the guitar!

Magical_Mystery_Tour 02-06-2006 06:21 PM

Band on the Run is my fav solo song by any Beatle.

BigTrav415 02-06-2006 06:27 PM

I still can't think of Prince without thinking of "You and your friends, against me and the Revolution"

Chapelle's Show is so awesome, I can't wait 'till the new season. I wonder if he'll ever make fun of the Beatles or 60's/70's "white" music.

Yeah that's on George's official site. I've actually posted the link to the video a bunch of times in this thread but I guess you've never been around when I've posted it. There's also a video of Petty, Lynne, and Dhani doing Handle With Care which is brilliant too. And the induction speech by Petty and Lynne is pretty moving.

And This is Love is an awesome song. Better than Got My Mind Set On You which is great too.

PurpleHaze420 02-06-2006 06:58 PM

hah. The Beatles is a great band. All that needs to be said really.

Blackbird, Day Tripper, and Get Back are probably my favorites right now.
I find the whole first bit to be very boring.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of the begining I start to like the song around the "Is there's anyway out of here, thought of giving it all away......" and I love the way it just picks up after that.

GeorgeHarrison 02-06-2006 09:24 PM

Hey guys, been awihle, used to post in this thread alot, since the begining of the thread actually, but oh well.

Im a huge beatles fan and did a cover of the classic "Good Day Sunshine" off of their '66 album Revolver.

Thought you guys might like it.

Feel free to have a listen and say what you like or dont like.

You can find it at http://www.purevolume.com/thecorneleoussnacksexperience/

MBS 02-06-2006 09:30 PM

I just saw your thread, and I'm loading the song right now.

El_Goodo 02-06-2006 11:24 PM

Does anyone have the songs Be Here Now and This Is Love on their computer? I can't get them off limewire, and youtube takes a while to load them. So if someone has them and could yousendit to me or something my e-mail is;

the_razors_edge_6@hotmail.com (that's a reference to the ac/dc album!! ...im sorry people call me emo)

anti_kimi 02-06-2006 11:33 PM

Personally, my favorite is Sgt. Peppers.

gmoneyguy 02-06-2006 11:41 PM

MMT > Sgt. Peppers

Its still a good album. I <3 A Day in the Life.

I definately agree those two albums are in a tie.

I as well enjoy a Day in the Life a lot,
and can't forget Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite.

You didn't hear? Dave Chapelle isn't making a new season. I heard they've got enough material to make about 3 new episodes and they're planning on airing them eventually, but after that it's done.

A great one for Pink Floyd would be Careful With That Thread Eugene.

But yeah I think we should just keep it as The Beatles.

gmoneyguy 02-07-2006 01:35 AM

Or Mother Nature's Son

Leper 02-07-2006 01:47 AM

I really think The Fool on the Hill was one of McCartney's greatest works. The recorder solo/fill fits so perfectly too.

I do like how Paul changes his mind between interviews on who that song is about.

Leper 02-07-2006 02:14 AM
I do like how Paul changes his mind between interviews on who that song is about.
I haven't heard any of his interviews on it. Who does he say it's about?
I haven't heard any of his interviews on it. Who does he say it's about?
He first said its was about the Maharishi, then he said It could be about anyone in general.
