The only stuff I have heard of by the Blood Brothers is BPIB and Crimes is This Adultery is Ripe actually good that you are dissapointed they didn't play off it or is more white belt crap that you just happen to have an ear for, CB?

Wow 12-29-2005 06:07 PM

Well it's that time of the month to jock Anasarca.

LISTEN TO ANASARCA! SAETIA RIPPED THEM OFF! THEY ARE SUPERIOR!

cobert 12-29-2005 07:38 PM

Thursday is the only reason im going to warped tour this year.

Im gonna go download those leaked songs.

whiteminority 12-29-2005 07:40 PM

TROOP 66, MUTHA FUKKA!!!!

This is some black kid in my friends boy scout troop. just thought id post him.

Shikyo 12-29-2005 08:05 PM

In Full Collapse they list Saetia and some other good bands as influences.

cobert 12-29-2005 08:14 PM

On war all the time they list good charolotte. That confuses me.

Shikyo 12-29-2005 08:20 PM

Wow... are you serious? That's kinda... shocking.

How do you feel about the new Thursday album? Had anyone heard of the new material? Are they getting worse like how every other band seems to be?

UnderOath said that they were going to go back to how they used to sound... and, it's worse than their poppy stuff. Hopefully Thursday isn't trying to improve but in turn, make themselves worse.

cbmartinez 12-29-2005 08:24 PM

No, This Adultery Is Ripe is nothing like the music they make now. It was spastic, raw and frantic.

Oh, and I have an hear for white belt stuff? You listen to The Locust and Daughters fag.

cbmartinez 12-29-2005 08:25 PM

Judging from the shit I heard live the last two nights, their new album is going to be a lot better than War All The Time.

whiteminority 12-29-2005 08:28 PM

I was thinking you might take that the wrong way, I meant is it a band that you just happen to like that is white belt. Yeah I like the Locust but fuck Daughters.

Nice. I dont think war all the time was really that bad, it was just nothing near anything else theyve made.

cbmartinez 12-29-2005 08:31 PM

Haha, I actually uploaded it for SunnyDay. Here's the link. Try it out, I think you might like it:

Everything they've made is spectacular, WATT just has a couple problems that make it a step backwards from Full Collapse. I mean, I think it's a given that they will never make anything as good as Full Collapse but they are going to make amazing albums.

whiteminority 12-29-2005 08:39 PM

WATT was crap why do you guys like it, it was a complete leap backwards from everything they had done. post-hardcore was traded for pop song structures with some PH traits. from what the demos have shown it sounds like they are redeeming themselves slowly but surely.

cbmartinez 12-29-2005 08:44 PM

"For The Workforce, Drowning" is one of their best songs. "Marches And Manuevers" and "Signals Over The Air" are also two fantastic songs. It was poppier but I had more of a problem with the fact that they tried to hard to write these emo anthems ("War All The Time," "Falling Bomb [very good song but they did try a little hard]").

whiteminority 12-29-2005 08:59 PM

Whatever I mean if you guys like it that's cool but I know personally I couldn't stand that album.

Wow 12-29-2005 09:02 PM

Ben, War All the Time was a fantastic album. I'd be willing to bet money if you hadn't heard Full Collapse or Waiting before hearing War All the Time, you'd **** yourself over it. Just 'cause it's not as good as the previous albums doesn't mean it's not good.

mikexmcdaniel 12-29-2005 09:03 PM

Waiting > Full Collapse

WATT = Poop

cbmartinez 12-29-2005 09:04 PM

No way. Waiting has it's moments but they hadn't really matured yet.

Wow 12-29-2005 09:05 PM

Chris get on AIM and send me Waiting. I deleted it.

mikexmcdaniel 12-29-2005 09:07 PM

Waiting just pours emotion into your ears.

I heard War All the Time first, my first Thursday song was that video Signals Over the Air I couldn't stand it. I went back and listened to Full Collapse later on a reccomendation of a friend and after hearing Understanding in a Car Crash. I have not heard Waiting, I didn't even knew it existed until now.

Wow 12-29-2005 09:11 PM

Yeah, which is why he sound send it to me.

I got ka-pwned. But did you actually listen to the whole album before judging it or just a few songs?

cbmartinez 12-29-2005 09:54 PM

I'll get right on that Ash.

Ben, that sentence didn't make sense. How does Jane Doe fit in with this?

SGlove 12-29-2005 11:32 PM

I actually believe it to be like this:
Waiting > WATT > Full Collapse.

I can listen to Waiting and WATT alot more than Full Collapse.

They're new stuff seems to be going in both directions of Full Collapse and WATT. They had this awesome poppy song (the 1st new one) and the other 2 were crushing.
Actually, all 3 were hard-hitting, just the other two moreso than the first because the first had a very noticeable hook to it.

Edit: I forgot about the last new one. I think I blocked it out because I was behind some fat kid who thought he knew all the instruments to it whenever they had a little solo part and he would play the air-guitar/piano/drums/harpischord/skin flute to the songs.
But the last song was awesome.
It's going to be a really good album.
Waiting just pours emotion into your ears.
exactly, thats what makes it so great. but they did progress a lot musically on full collapse. and i agree with cb and wow, the reason most people were dissapointed with war all the time was because it couldn't measure up to full collapse, but its still amazing. i can't wait for this new one. thursday is without a doubt my favorite band.

cbmartinez 12-30-2005 01:36 AM

Triac
Crestfallen
Circle takes the square
City Of Caterpillar
Majority rule
Pageninetynine
Strike Anywhere (they cancelled)

That was the line up for the last pageninetynine show. How fucking incredible would that have been? I found that on their site. There's also something on the site where the dude mentions that he can't stand the music of Circle Takes The Square (either them or Mannequin, it's hard to tell)

I meant Full COllapse, I was just listening to Jane Doe while posting that. My bad.

Whole thing.

Arrakakaka 12-30-2005 10:01 AM

Another CoC reference? Enough. They're an amazing group, but lets get some new titles.

NP: Funeral Diner - "We Become Buried"

Send me some Rites Of Spring, Waiting, and some others. AIM is Zerobass1123.

Oh, and I'll show ya my recordnerd when you IM me.

Don't worry, I think they're just playin around about that.:thumb:

EDIT - Thanks for the album Cb.
like a random hobo or something?
perhaps, possibly even Cher or the guy from the old 7-up commercials

cbmartinez 12-30-2005 01:37 PM

Man, I forgot how good This Adultery Is Ripe is. It absolutely lays waste to everything else they've done.

SGlove 12-30-2005 02:45 PM

CB, I don't mean disrespect towards you, but man do I hate jersey.
It is impossible to see the right exit signs.

cbmartinez 12-30-2005 04:18 PM

Haha, none taken. Jersey not as bad as people make it out to be but it does have it's problem.

StandingStill 12-30-2005 05:01 PM

I met a guy from New Jersey last night. He was a tool. CB do you know if Thursday are still planning the double album thingy?
