If you consider Aliens cute.

I guess ET was pretty cute, in his own hideous way.

Zmev 01-22-2007 05:49 PM

Half the lineup, including Bjork, sucks

But the half that is good includes Rage, Air, the Happy Mondays (24hpp woo) and SY. Ill probably try for tickets.

Bukowski 01-22-2007 05:56 PM

Sonic Youth and a reunited Jesus and Mary Chain. That's good enough for me.

Zmev 01-22-2007 05:57 PM

I have counted 25 reasons and considering I live in the same state, thats reason enough.

Rabbi 01-22-2007 05:58 PM

Oh tsk tsk. It's not that bad.

asdf 01-22-2007 05:59 PM

Last years bonnaroo definitely owned it.

Glad I was there :)

what an lol. I like him, but I imagine he's gotten rusty.

Swami 01-22-2007 06:28 PM

Had Big Day Out on friday.

Was average, other than Hot Chip, Kasabian, Peaches and The Presets.

Kyle 01-22-2007 06:29 PM

Who else did you see?

I'd maybe like to see Hot Chip.

I remember when he came out at Reading Festival and started setting up his own equipment....it took the majority of the crowd 3 songs to work out he wasn't a technician.

J Mascis, Doug Martsch, and Wayne Coyne should beat each other up for BumFights: Scruffy-Looking Indie Rockers Edition.

I thought it said the Streets and not the Presets. Disappointment.

Yeah, well, you like Minus the Bear.

Kayetan 01-22-2007 08:50 PM

Hot Chip is pretty lame. They're ok I guess, but in no way at all do they merit all the praise they have received.

Minus the Bear makes way too many obviously bad/stupid choices in their music.

Kayetan 01-22-2007 09:09 PM

I just can't believe people would say that's the best single of 2006. It's slightly above average at best.

Electrocution 01-22-2007 09:37 PM

I saw a video on mtv this morning that was a band playing in a club awash in red light with a short haired chick and a long haired dude exchanging glances and then going to his motorcycle. it was indie-ish and kind of dancey. anyone know what it is?

Yeah, it was average as hell - I'm glad I didn't have to pay for my ticket. I caught a little bit of Hot Chip and Peaches. The former seemed alright but the latter sucked balls. The Streets were far and away the best act I saw. And of course, I Heart Hiroshima.

I think you're forgetting the king of scruffy-ness. Mr. Ryan Adams (see avatar for proof).
