You're seeing Neil?!?!?!??! Omg lucky.
I saw him twice before I really even liked him. Once in 5th grade on his solo tour, and once on his Greendale tour with Crazy Horse, which was just amazing, but there were people getting up and leaving in disgust
He usualy does solo-crazy horse-solo- crazy horse on his tours. Since the last was with crazy horse, he will probably be solo this time. I hope not

Leper 09-17-2005 10:30 AM

Neil's supposedly gonna make up for not being able to perform at the Junos here in Winnipeg soon, but has yet to set a date. Once he does I'll be first in line.

So I just got Trout Mask Replica because ever since I heard Willie the Pimp and found out that Cpt. Beefheart sings I thought I'd love this CD.
But I must say, I'm extremely dissappointed this is one of the worst CD's I've ever heard, nothing is even appealing or making me want to continue listen other then I hope it'll get better I'm on #10 and I don't like one song. And will someone tell me how this is supposed to be a Great CD?

If you wanna hear any other Zappa, get on Slsk :p

Apostrophe (') was my first Zappa album. I rather liked it
Some kid burned it for me becuase he wanted me to learn the bass solo in the first minute or so of the title track. **** near impossible

JonG 09-17-2005 11:20 AM

If it matters to anybody, I'm re-uploading "I Don't Know You", because it cuts off the end in the version in the zip.

Also: Any wants from people to send via e-mail?

Which date are you going to Cream? I wish I could go I'd like to see Jack Bruce live.

Same here. Goodbye is the only one I don't have here.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-17-2005 11:33 AM
Freak Out! That's essential. No arguments, no debate, nothing resembling a discussion, just get it.

[/fanboy]

But seriously, that is an absolutely incredible album. Zappa was so prolfic that it's tough to know where to begin, but that's the most typically vital listen.
I perfer We're Only in it For the Money but yea, Freak Out is one outstanding album. So many different styles; when ever I play the album I always choose a different song to start out with.

I really like Trout Mask Replica (even though I perfer Safe as Milk). It's a real oddity and like you Med, I haven't found anyone that has liked it yet.

JonG 09-17-2005 11:34 AM

I'll take that Cream as well.

jong21790@gmail.com

robo2448 09-17-2005 11:35 AM

Yep, I'm missing Goodbye too. Robo2448@yahoo.com

I feel like an idiot, because I bought there greatest hits, but ended up buying Fresh Cream, Disraeli Gears, and Wheel's of Fire anyway.

Lunch 09-17-2005 11:37 AM

That happened to me too, but luckily I got Fresh Cream and Disraeli Gears for Christmas a couple years ago.

But without the Best Of, we wouldn't have gotten Badge, so it was worth it :thumb:

If anyone wants anything, I've pretty much got nothing to do all day today. I'm going to update my list on RYM now.

Distant Echoes 09-17-2005 11:43 AM

Alright, Every email link is putting me through a yahoo subscription page, so if you have AIM, I hooked up the link on the bottom of my profile ~Echoes4258. Get em there. If not, let me know, there may be another way.

I havent officially ordered the tix yet, but my friends getting them with the american express presale today or tomorrow, about $60 or $70. Probably some ****ty seats behind the stage, but who doesnt wanna see clapton's ass while he's soloing to white room?
