Yes but if they were still playing Very Proud of Ya type stuff we would say they suck because they released the same album 12 times, which they definitely haven't done.

Well yeah, that is my favorite part of their career, the "in between" I guess. But can't fault them for trying something new. They also changed by necessity a bit after Davey's surgery. I think his voice sounds better now. May be the production value though.

when I first bought STS after the first minute or so I thought that they'd put the cd in the case, but it grew on me albeit slowly. Their earlier stuff is much better, i'd like to see them make a few tracks similar

And it introduced a lot of people to AFI. Just forget about the people who only like their singles, even if radio play only tempted a few people to check out their older stuff, thats cool.
