what's wrong with him
he's a ****ing singer thats whats wrong with him, they're all cunts really

We've discussed looking for other singers as a band. This was without him though (obviously), and before he'd been confronted with anything on any level. Something that was suggested was splitting the vocals between us, like Mastodon do, but we've no idea how that would sound :( I love the idea of doing it, but I don't have the confidence to try :upset:

Patrick O))) 08-17-2007 08:20 PM

Btw, any leeds based mxers hear anything about our gig? <_< it was at Rios last tuesday supporting Morkret (who I rhythm guitar for, and who were crap. We pwnd them)

EDIT: My band's called Human Cull. Not the best name, I know, but it's growing on me, and I really like the logo-banner thingy we've got now :)

rocknrollstar5 08-17-2007 08:24 PM

you got a myspace?

Meh, if you can find the confidence, do it.

All you need is confidence and you can do damn near anything.

Squirrel 08-17-2007 08:48 PM

i got totally **** blocked tonight :(

I know :( but that said, I have been finding a fair lot more confidence these days, so if it comes to it maybe i will have a go :D

It would seem i have had a pay rise.

My pay check last month i got paid 5.50 an hour, now im getting paid 5.66500 an hour, bit of an odd number really, but w/e more money for me, even if it will take many hours for it to add up to a decent amount.

I like the songs mate. Were having some issues setting up a band at the moment. Singer won't practise and he's a bit stubborn and is the main reason were finding it difficult to find a drummer (me my guitarist and bassist are best mates with a good drummer but our singer apparently hates him now ¬_¬).

Surf 08-18-2007 05:39 AM

Band issues are why I just make everything myself on my laptop.

No more silly band issues ftw
Not being able to perform live or sing ftl

Dylan styleee. not the laptop thing. Just become an amazing acoustic legend and then hastily slap together a band complete with electric instruments. sorted.

Surf 08-18-2007 02:03 PM

heh yeah

Still, me performing the songs would be really dull.

Just a laptop and a theremin and Sony ACID and a shitload of samples does not really make a great stage show.

Dylan was really good live though. Even if he can't sing.

2muchket! 08-18-2007 02:50 PM

Lulz

I got called posh last night.

Untitled 08-18-2007 03:47 PM

And you're from the north east

2muchket! 08-18-2007 04:41 PM

Exactly my point. I said to the bloke (well he happened to be our lass's step dad and was the spitting image of bez) your confusing intelligence with being posh. Just because I don't speak like an Rtard doesn't make me posh.

Surtr 08-18-2007 05:23 PM

Ahh, I needa' life or 'sommat.

Squirrel 08-19-2007 05:57 AM

Same.

Seeing Black Dahlia Murder on Tuesday, so theres that to look forward to :)

Oh i hate people like that. It's obviously taboo to not speak like a 6 year old.

I think Kele Okereke summed this up pretty well (If anyone remembers the comments about Oasis).

Untitled 08-19-2007 10:34 AM

WAHEY!

Off work for a week and a bit now.

Have 2 shifts in 2 weeks, :)

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 08-19-2007 01:38 PM

Absolutely fantastic.

Last time i met each of them individually, got my pic taken with each of them and they all signed my set list.

I then hung out with them as a group for a while, had a few drinks etc, they needed a place to crash and were gonna stay at mine but then they secured a hotel or some shi.

Was front row the whole time, no barriers or anything either. Also the only gig ever where they finished early and played another song :D

FVG27 08-19-2007 02:37 PM

Hey guuuys. Hey Pat I should be visiting my sister this summer up in Leeds. I'll let you know and mebbes I could catch a gig?

Also Leeds is gonna be one of my top choices for uni XD

Untitled 08-19-2007 02:38 PM

Leeds is the place for MXers it would seem.

/moves there in 4 weeks :)

2muchket! 08-19-2007 02:39 PM

Aye I want to go to either Leeds, Newcastle, Durham or Sheffield.

Surtr 08-19-2007 02:45 PM

Hahaha..You guys could start an Mx Club at Leeds Uni.

FVG27 08-19-2007 02:49 PM

Ha totally. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys if I ever get my arse up there to visit my big sis.

Dr Hooch 08-19-2007 03:29 PM

yeah well me and pasta will just go form ourselves a bristol club and it'll be well cooler tha your stinky leeds club so

nah nah nah nah nah

Surf 08-19-2007 03:43 PM

I'm probably going to get destroyed for this but...

South > North

just saying.

FVG27 08-19-2007 03:45 PM

Bristol is one of my choices too.

It jsut seemed a bit... snobby.

Middle > all

Surf 08-19-2007 03:47 PM

Bristol turned me down. Bastards. I liked Bristol as well.

I would say South Wales > all.

But Newport is a hell hole.

FVG27 08-19-2007 03:50 PM

Oh yes I love Wales :D

Bristol is hard to get into. For the course I want it's like 25 applicants for each place. And that's with most applicants at no less than 3 predicted As.

:(

Surf 08-19-2007 03:57 PM

Which course?

I was applying for either History or English and my predicted grades weren't really good enough to get in.

I got around it in Exeter by applying for a course loosely connected, then changing over on results day.

Yeah you do realise that's the symbol for "greater than" not "more expensive than"

fair play i'm going southwards for uni

gotta experience both
Bristol is one of my choices too.

you just have to hang with the right crowd

there's rahs and there's plenty of people with a great sense of irony

the hall i applied to was described by one of the lower 6th who went to an open day as "the only one with beer bottles and underwear on the front lawn"

What's that like medicine or something?

Bristol was my lowest offer ABB

and I got

Its not that bad until you start getting closer to london.

I think. I'm not sure, I stay out in the west.

The rah thing is daft. There's loads of failed Oxbridge applicants in Exeter, but I don't see the whole I hate rah thing everyone goes on about.

There's cunts who are rahs, and cunts who aren't.

Dr Hooch 08-19-2007 04:09 PM
The south is better imo. Only because I live there :p

Where are you going?
Bristol.

Heheey! :D

Sure, sounds good :) (might even be one of my band's gigs >_> )

Zoe's moving down soon too. Her uni don't start for a fortnight after she does, so if it's sometime then I'm sure she'll be glad of the distraction :P plus it might be a bit less awkward, what with another girly girl n all =]

Untitled 08-19-2007 04:25 PM

I move in on the 22nd, and my course starts on the 24th

I want time to settle down and get drunk. And freshers fortnight is going to inbetween lectures :(

Patrick O))) 08-19-2007 04:29 PM

of august? o.O surely september

Huddersfield's like 20 minutes away, so i'm moving back when I'm wanted =]

might be sooner though, since we're moving home-home this week. With ma and pa seperating and neither moving somewhere convenient, I might bite the bullet and fend for myself a bit earlier

Pastorius 08-19-2007 04:30 PM

Fresher's fortnight?

It was fresher's week when I went. We had to sign up to stuff in the day.
