I'm hungry :(
but I will have some kebab soon /drools. after that I'm going to the movies to The Exorsism Of Emily Rose. anyone seen it? |
Mmm, kebab. Superpeer went to see it the other day. Enjoyable, but nothing great, I think was his verdict.
In other news, I seem to have a hair stuck behind my two front teeth (top). It's the most annoying feeling I think I've ever had. NP Nas - NY State of Mind |
So it would be more like a Red Sox fan rooting for the Jets.
Haha, I'm not from the East Coast, so I don't see why that's a bad thing. I understand your point, though, I think.
Exorcism of Emily Rose? Yay or Nay?
This is what Superpeer told me: [20:37] Superpeer: I saw the Exorcism of Emily Rose [20:38] Superpeer: I didn't see Jesus in it [20:38] Jom: Did you like it, at least? [20:38] Superpeer: it was okay/pretty good [20:38] Superpeer: too much focus on the trial thing though, not enough occult horror |

What time is the Ohio State/Michigan game on? And what channel?
And I'm really more concerned about USC/UCLA, but that isn't for a couple weeks. |

GOOOODBYYE RUBY TUESDAY WHO COULD HANG A NAME ON YOOOU?! |
Well, it's a bad thing because the two fanbases don't mesh: Jets fans resent Bostonians, Red Sox fans resent (despise) New York. From what I have seen, MSU students are particularly unfond of the University of Michigan, so it struck me as being odd.
Ooh, right. I gotcha. I think the being-in-different-states thing was throwing me off. Thanks for the explanation, though.
What time is the Ohio State/Michigan game on? And what channel?
It's on ABC here, right now. OSU is up 6-0 and driving.
Ruby Tuesday
That's in my top five for favorite restaurants :) |
It's on ABC here, right now. OSU is up 6-0 and driving.
wtf, it isn't on here. The only game they have on schedule today is the Cal/Stanford game, and that's at four o'clock. |
wtf, it isn't on here.

Forgot about time zones, heh. I remember when I was in Seattle I was watching baseball and football at 10AM, and how badass that was, haha.
They're in different states but if you live in Boston you can make a drive to NYC for a Yanks/Sox game and drive back in a day, depending in the traffic.
Ah, alright. That makes sense. Again, I'm not all that familiar with the East Coast save for New York, which doesn't say much since everybody seems to know New York rather well. Actually, I only know NYC, and that's about it. My aunt and uncle work in the city and their apartment is in Queens (I think).
Then it again it depends on what the hell "mark out" means. White people with their slang.
Ah, that's my fault. It's wrestling lingo, actually. Here's a brief definition:
A term that was originally used to describe someone who believes in the legitimacy of the wrestling business. It is now more frequently used as a derogatory comment or insult to describe a gullible fan. It can also be used to say you are a fan of or appreciative of something in the wrestling business. For example, a big fan of Steve Austin would be considered a Steve Austin mark. This term is also used to describe someone who is the victim of a con artist.

An enthusiastic action taken to celebrate a positive event during the match, particularly the outcome, which may or may not have a surprising outcome.
And as for USC: I think Pete Carroll is a great coach, but I've hated USC ever since they practically obliterated U of M in the Rose Bowl. Plus, I like Leinart going back to school... but to take "Ballroom Dancing?" That's crappy. He's taking a one-credit class, yet playing for USC? Meh, politics :p |

You mean the game a couple years ago? I was there  /// Aaaaaaaaand the game is on now. Michigan just scored. |
Here's what you need to know: New England, save for Connecticut (aka, the stretch of highway between MA and New York) is pretty anti-New York, "What's there to do in Philly?", and New Jersey (save Newark and the more industrialized parts) is more decent than people make it out to be.
I never liked South Jersey. I don't know, it just seems very bland. And it's kind of a fad to make fun of Jersey with old jokes; you know, "what's that smell?" and "LOL WHAT EXIT ARE YOU?"
I've been to LA and Sacramento and it's pretty cool having MNF and long baseball games and late basketball games end at about 9 pm.
I love that too. |
Yeah, people give him credit for going back to school, but it's hard to call him a "student-athlete" when he's only taking ballroom dancing. Reggie Bush is by far the best and most important player on the team but Leinart is a borderline celebrity.
Yeah, agreed in all respects. The ESPN the Magazine article that featured Leinart was ridiculous. Yeah, nice guy, he seems. Good athlete. But having people like Tom Brady and Nick Carter getting you to hang out with him? Meh, it'd be one thing if he was portrayed as a studious guy this season, but he's taking a one-credit ballroom dancing class, haha.
Also, as a Patriots fan who watched the Pete Carroll Era (1997-1999, a span in which he lost the respect of Terry Glenn and just about everyone else on the team) I can't believe he is such a great college coach.
I admit to not knowing a whole lot about his NE tenure, but maybe it was the difference between the pro environment and the university level. I'm not making excuses for the guy at all, but that would be my guess.
there are plenty of examples of college coaches not being able to succeed in the NFL and vice versa. Spurrier is the most obvious one and although I did not witness the 97-99 Pats, what he did to the Redskins was shameful. It was a disgrace when you think about, and he probably could have been fined for fucking them up so much. |
I've just remembered why I had R.L. Burnside mentioned to me. He died recently, didn't he? A month or two ago.

Yawn. I'm booooooored.

Does anyone have any expirience with the Creative Zen Sleek? I think I may be getting one for Christman(w00t for surprises) and I was jus wondering what you guys think of it.
Today I went to three cd stores with three bands in mind- Porcupine Tree, Arcturus, and Ulver. I only really expected to find a new Porcupine Tree album, but I was also looking for anything by the latter two bands as well. I went 0 for three in every store. :upset: |

I've never bothered to look for Arcturus, to be honest, because I think it'd be difficult to find them in any "mainstream" store (i.e. Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.). |
Yes. It happened to me lately.
I went to a CD store with some bands in my mind... "Opeth, The mars volta, Maiden, Probably Al di meola and Dredg". I found most of them, but Oh! Surprise, my budget was 20 bucks (for any album) but most of them were overpriced for some reason. :confuz'd: Although most of the albums were imports... Japs and Europe, methinks. So I just bought Opeth's "lamentations" and came off the store quickly. |
I can actually find the whole discography of these bands in more than one store here
|
Deadwing is the only PT album I've been able to find as of late. I bought it shortly after it came out, so it's not anything I'm looking for. Hopefully come spring time, I'll be able to spend a good 40 bucks on Porcupine Tree material with the re-issue of Lightbulb Sun and Signify, and the release of a live DVD. :ecstatic:
|
I can find whatever i need at my local second hand store, considering most of it is Death/Black.
In one batch i got : Drudkh : Autumn Aurora Lost Horizon : A Flame To The Ground Beneath Dark Throne : Blaze In The Northern Sky Arsis : A Celebration Of Guilt (Second copy, lost the first). Pro-Pain : The Truth Hurts At The Gates : Slaughter Of The Soul (I got it on Vinyl and the promo). |
Arsis : A Celebration Of Guilt (Second copy, lost the first).
 You lost an Arsis CD?! How?! |
